When you lift up your phone while the display is off, it wakes up and shows the Smart Display which gives you a quick glimpse of the date and time, battery status, and notification icons. You can turn this feature on or off in Settings.
Note: When you're traveling, the Smart Display can show your current location and home time zones if travel mode is enabled. For details, see

Home screen, swipe up and then tap

- Tap Advanced.
- Tan the Smart Display On/Off switch to turn it on or off.
