Taking an ultra-wide photo

HTC U24 pro uses the main camera and secondary ultra-wide, depth sensing camera for capturing ultra-wide photos. The secondary camera can cover up to an angle of 120 degrees when you're taking photos.

Here's how to take an ultra-wide photo:

  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. Switch to Photo mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.
  3. Tap Ultra wide mode button to use the ultra-wide angle camera.
Tip: For ultra-wide captures, you can zoom to a ratio less than 1x.
  4. Point the camera at the scene you want to capture.
  5. When ready, tap Camera shutter button.
Tip:
  • By default, Correct ultra-wide angle distortion is enabled which removes distorted edges from ultra-wide shots. When you need to take photos with fish-eye effects, tap Camera Settings icon and then turn off this setting.
  • When capturing ultra-wide photos with subjects, turn on Correct portrait distortion. This will help prevent distortion in the captured subjects.
