Recording video

Capture moments as videos using the Camera app.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. To set your preferred video settings, like audio mode and video quality, tap > .
  3. When you're ready to start recording, tap .
  4. Change focus to a different subject or area by just tapping it on the Viewfinder screen.
  5. Tap to pause the recording, and then tap to resume.
  6. To stop recording, tap .

Recording a time lapse video

Want to have a fast motion effect in your video? Use time lapse mode to speed videos up to 10 times.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap > Time lapse interval to set the interval of your time lapse video.
  4. When you're ready to start recording, tap .
  5. Change focus to a different subject or area by tapping it on the Viewfinder screen.
  6. To stop recording, tap .
Turn off time lapse mode if you want to switch back to recording normal videos. To do this, just tap > > Time lapse videos > Off.

Taking a video selfie

Important: Make sure you're in normal capture mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. Tap to switch to the front camera.
  3. To set your preferred video settings, like audio mode and video quality, tap > . You can also take time lapse video selfies. See Recording a time lapse video for details.
  4. When you're ready to start recording, tap .
  5. Change focus to a different subject or area by just tapping it on the Viewfinder screen.
  6. Tap to pause the recording, and then tap to resume.
  7. To stop recording, tap .
