What does Google Play Protect do, and how do I check if it's enabled?

Google Play Protect helps protect your phone from potentially harmful apps.

When it's enabled, your phone will be able to block the installation of apps and remove apps if security threats are detected.

1. Go to Settings > Google > Security.
2. Under Security Status, tap Google Play Protect.
3. If not yet turned on, tap Scan device for security threats to enable Google Play Protect.
