Typically when a phone is charging, the screen will display a charging icon, either in the status bar if the phone is powered on, or in the center of the screen if the phone is powered off.

If the phone doesn't appear to be charging, it is important to check all of the charging components to find the cause.
Try charging your phone using a wall outlet and not through a USB port on your computer. Some computers will disable USB ports from charging to conserve energy, which can prevent the phone from charging.
Make sure the wall outlet is providing power to the charger by connecting another powered device to the outlet.
Try using different chargers or USB cables and check if your phone will charge.
Make sure there's no damage, for example, kinks or frays in the cord, bent connectors, etc., to the charger or cable ends.
Check the charging port on your phone for any damage to the pins or other hardware components, and carefully clean out any debris or pocket lint.
After checking all the components, turn your phone off completely by pressing Power off
, and then plug it in to the charger and wait 2-3 minutes. If the battery is completely drained, it may take up to 2 minutes before the phone starts charging.
If the phone doesn't appear to be charging, try rebooting it with the charger connected. Check if it can resume charging normally.
