Bokeh mode

In Bokeh mode, you can take portraits, object shots, or selfies with a nice blurred background.
Important:
  • To get a nice blurred background when taking portraits or object shots, keep a distance of 0.5-1.5 m (2-5 ft) between you and your subject.
  • You need to be in a well-lit environment.
  • Settings such as HDR, zoom, and flash are not available in Bokeh mode.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. Switch to Bokeh mode. See Choosing a capture mode.
  3. Tap Switch camera button to switch between the front and main cameras.
  4. Point the main camera at your subject, or pose at the front camera if you're taking a selfie.
  5. Set the aperture by dragging the slider. A smaller aperture value increases the blur in the background.
Tip: If you've switched to the front camera, you can apply Beauty mode to your selfies.

Tap Beauty Mode toggle icon, and then tap to use the Beauty Mode options.

  6. When you're ready to take the photo, tap Camera shutter button.

HDR

When shooting subjects against a bright background or sceneries with bright skies and shaded landscapes, use HDR, short for High Dynamic Range, to take your photos. HDR brings out the details of both highlights and shadows, even in high contrast lighting.
Important: HDR works best when your subject is steady. The camera takes multiple shots at different exposure levels and combines them into one enhanced photo.
  1. Switch to Photo mode, if you're not in this mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.
  2. Tap HDR toggle icon to switch between HDR auto, on, and off modes.
  3. Frame the subject or scenery you want to capture.
  4. When ready, tap Camera shutter button.

Stickers

Add fun stickers when taking facial shots. Stickers can be added to both photos and videos.
Note: The maximum duration is 10 sec. when recording video with an animated sticker.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. Switch to AR Sticker mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.
  3. Tap Switch camera button to switch between the front and main cameras.
  4. Tap Sticker icon to open the sticker menu.
  5. Tap the sticker you want to use.
  6. To close the sticker menu, tap the Viewfinder screen or press .
  7. When ready, tap Camera shutter button to take a photo or press and hold Camera shutter button to record a video with the selected sticker.
Tip: Switch to GIF mode to capture animated GIFs with stickers.

Unflipping photo selfies

When you see yourself on the Viewfinder screen, your selfie is actually a mirrored image. Here's what to do if your captured photo looks flipped and is not the mirrored image.
  1. Switch to Photo mode, if you're not in this mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.
  2. Tap Switch camera button to switch to the front camera.
  3. Tap Camera Settings icon > .
  4. Make sure the Mirrored selfie option is turned on.
