Screen rotate mode

Choose how the screen orientation is adjusted when you rotate your phone.

1. From the Home screen, swipe up and then tap Settings > Display & gestures.
2. Tap Advanced > Screen rotate mode.
3. Choose one of these options:

   Option	Description
   Smart rotate	Keep your phone in its current screen orientation without rotating even when you turn the phone sideways or upright. For details, see Edge Sense holding gesture.
   Auto rotate	Rotate the screen automatically when you turn your phone sideways or upright.
   Portrait mode	Always keep the screen in portrait orientation.

Tip: You can also quickly switch between the screen rotate modes from the Quick Settings panel.
