Connecting to a Wi‍-Fi network

HTC U23 pro can connect to 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‍-Fi networks.

HTC U23 pro also supports the Wi‍-Fi 6E standard. You can connect your phone to 6 GHz wireless networks in regions where the phone is certified to use Wi‍-Fi 6E.

Note: Currently, HTC U23 pro can only use Wi‍-Fi 6E in select regions. Because Wi‍-Fi 6E is still a new standard, availability and channels will be dependent on local legislation in your country.
  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings > Network & internet.
  2. Tap Internet, and then tap the Wi-Fi On/Off switch to turn it on.
  3. Tap a Wi‍-Fi network you want to connect to.
  4. If you selected a secured network, enter the network key or password.
  5. Tap Connect.

The Wi‍-Fi network setting will be saved. The Wi‍-Fi icon (2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network icon, 5 GHz Wi-Fi network icon, or 6 GHz Wi-Fi network icon) will be displayed in the status bar.

Tip:
  • The number shown on the Wi‍-Fi icon indicates whether you've connected to a 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz network.
  • You can save several Wi‍-Fi network connections. To switch to a different Wi‍-Fi network, tap Saved networks on the Wi‍-Fi screen and then select the network you want to connect to.
  • When you don't need to use Wi‍-Fi, open the Quick Settings panel and turn Wi‍-Fi off to save battery life. See Using Quick Settings.
