To use
Wi-Fi, you need access to a wireless access point or “hotspot”.
Note: The availability and strength of a
Wi-Fi signal varies depending on objects the
Wi-Fi signal has to pass through (such as buildings or a wall between rooms).

From the
Home screen, tap
.

Tap the
Wi-Fi
On/Off switch to turn it on, and then tap
Wi-Fi.
The
Wi-Fi screen will be displayed, which lists detected
Wi-Fi networks.

Tap a
Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.

If you selected a secured network, enter the network key or password.

Tap
Connect.
The
Wi-Fi network settings will be saved. The
Wi-Fi icon (
or
) will be displayed in the status bar.
Tip:
- The number shown on the
Wi-Fi icon indicates whether you've connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network.
- You can save several
Wi-Fi network connections. To switch to a different
Wi-Fi network, tap
Saved networks on the
Wi-Fi screen and then select the network you want to connect to.
- When you don't need to use
Wi-Fi, open the
Quick Settings panel and turn
Wi-Fi off to save battery life. See
