When you turn on your phone for the first time—or after a factory reset—weather and location information is unavailable because the
Weather app doesn't have permissions, by default, to access your location.
To protect user privacy, the
Android system requires apps to request location permissions before they can access your location.
Here's how to enable location permissions in the
Weather app:
