Setting up your phone for the first time

When you switch on HTC U23 pro for the first time—or after you've done a factory reset—you’ll need to set up the phone.

Important: Before you start, back up your photos, videos, and data to your Google Account so you can import them to HTC U23 pro.

During the setup, you'll be prompted to do the following:

• Choose the system language to use, read and agree to the terms of use, and choose your internet connection.
• Choose where to copy or restore data from.
• Sign into your Google Account.
• Turn on the various Google services. Make sure the Back up to Google Drive option is turned on to enable Auto Backup.

  It's also recommended to enable Location and Device maintenance services.

• Set up Google Assistant™. For details, visit support.google.com/assistant/.
• Set up device protection for your phone. For details, see Security settings.

To install app updates and finish the phone setup, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notifications panel, and then tap the Android Setup notification. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.
