Why doesn't Google Assistant respond when I say, "‍Hey Google"‍?

Before you can say "‍Hey Google"‍ to launch Google Assistant™, you need to set it up and teach it to recognize your voice. If you've already set it up before, try to train it again to recognize your voice. For details, visit support.google.com/assistant/.

For Google Assistant to respond to "‍Hey Google"‍ and voice commands, Battery Saver and Adaptive Battery settings must be turned off.

1. On the Home screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap Battery, and then do the following:
   • Tap Battery Saver > Turn off now.
   • Tap Adaptive Battery, and then turn off the Use Battery Manager On/Off switch.
