Do not disturb mode

Use Do not disturb mode to reject calls, and silence audible alerts and notifications, but still keep a data connection available.
  1. From the Home screen, tap > Settings > Sound & notification.
  2. Tap Do not disturb, and then tap Do not disturb mode to turn it on and off, or to choose priority mode.
The Do not disturb icon or the priority icon will appear in the status bar. Even when Do not disturb mode is on, you'll still see notification icons in the status bar to alert you of missed calls, new messages, calendar events, alarms, and other notifications.
Tip: When the screen is on, press VOLUME to manage Do not disturb mode quickly. When Priority is selected, tap to set priority notifications such as events and reminders or calls and messages.
Note: If Do not disturb is on, the notification LED will not flash.

Allowing prioritized notifications to bypass Do not disturb mode

  1. From the Home screen, tap > Settings > Sound & notification.
  2. Tap Do not disturb.
  3. Tap Do not disturb mode, and then select Priority.
  4. Select a specific length of time for Do not disturb mode to last, or select Until turned off to end the mode when your phone is turned off, and then tap OK.
  5. Tap the priority notifications On/Off switch next to the items you wish to bypass Do not disturb mode.
  6. Tap Calls or message from to select who can contact you while in Do not disturb mode.
  7. Tap Manage approved contacts, and then tap to add Do not disturb exceptions.

To remove contacts or numbers from the exceptions list, tap > Remove contact.

  1. From the Home screen, tap > Settings > Sound & notification.
  2. Tap Do not disturb.
