Why does my battery drain so quickly?

• If the issue started recently, uninstalling apps that have been installed since shortly before the start of the issue may help. How do I check battery usage on my phone?

Go to Settings > Battery.

In phones that have Android 6 or later, you'll see the top overall contributors to battery drain. If a particular app shows high battery usage, try reducing the frequency the app is in use, limiting the sync frequency or restricting the background functions of the app to help extend the battery life of the phone.
