How do I copy or move files and folders to my storage card?

Use a file management app, or go to the storage settings of your phone to copy or move files and folders to your storage card.

Copy or move photos and videos from the internal storage to the storage card

  1. Make sure that a storage card is inserted in your phone.
  2. From the Home screen, tap Settings > Storage.
  3. On the Storage screen, tap Internal shared storage > Files.
  4. Tap Images and Videos. Your phone then looks for these file types and displays the files.
  5. Do any of the following:
    • Press and hold a file to select it. To select more files, tap each file.
    • Tap > Select all.
  6. Tap > Copy to or > Move to.
  7. Tap Drawer button to open the slideout menu, and then tap the storage card name.
  8. Choose an existing folder or create a new folder.
  9. Tap Copy or Move.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings > Storage.
  2. On the Storage screen, tap the storage card name.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Tap one or more file types such as Documents or the media file types. Your phone then looks for these file types and displays the files.
    • Open the folder that contains the files you want to copy or move.
  4. To select files, do any of the following:
    • Press and hold a file to select it. To select more files, tap each file.
    • Tap > Select all.
  5. Tap > Copy to or > Move to.
  6. Tap Drawer button to open the slideout menu, and then tap the storage card name.
  7. Choose an existing folder or create a new folder.
  8. Tap Copy or Move.
