Recording video

Capture moments as videos using the Camera app.

1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
2. On the Viewfinder screen, do any of the following to switch to Video mode:
   • In landscape view, swipe from the top edge of the screen.
   • In portrait view, swipe from the right edge of the screen.
3. To set your preferred video settings, like audio mode and video quality, tap > .
4. When you're ready to start recording, tap .
5. Change focus to a different subject or area by just tapping it on the Viewfinder screen.
6. Tap to pause the recording, and then tap to resume.
   Tip: While recording, tap whenever you want to capture a still shot.
7. To stop recording, tap .

Taking a video selfie

Important: Make sure you're in normal capture mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.

1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.

   • In landscape view, swipe from the top edge of the screen.
   • In portrait view, swipe from the right edge of the screen.
3. Tap to switch to the front camera.
4. To set your preferred video settings, like audio mode and video quality, tap > .
5. When you're ready to start recording, tap .
6. Tap to pause the recording, and then tap to resume.
7. To stop recording, tap .
