How do I back up my photos and videos?

You can back up the photos and videos stored on your phone to your Google Account. To do this, use Google Photos™ to sync your local and online albums or use HTC Gallery to upload the photos and videos to Google Drive™ or Google Photos™.

Important:

• Before you can sync your photos and albums, you need to first log in to your Google Account in Settings > Accounts & sync.
• HTC Gallery app may no longer be preinstalled on newer HTC phones.

Back up photos using Google Photos

1. Open the Photos app.
2. If this is the first time you open Photos, tap Get started and you'll be prompted to enable Back up and sync during setup.
3. Tap > Settings.
4. Tap Back up & sync, and then make sure that the backup feature is on.
5. If you want to back up only specific device folders like Downloads or Screenshots, tap Back up device folders, and then turn on the folders to sync.

Back up your HTC Gallery photos and videos to your Google Account

1. Open the HTC Gallery app.
2. Navigate to the set of photos and videos to back up.
3. Tap the Share button, and then tap Save to Drive or Upload to Photos.
4. Select the photos or videos you want to upload to and then tap Next.
5. Tap Save or Upload.

   If you're uploading to Google Drive™, you can choose the folder where you want to save the media files.
