How do I restart HTC 5G Hub‍ into Safe mode?

Sometimes, a third-party app may cause your device to lag, malfunction, or freeze. In Safe mode, all third-party app activities are temporarily deactivated. If your device functions as it should while in Safe mode, then the problem is caused by a third-party app and is unlikely a hardware issue.
  1. Press and hold the POWER button until a selection menu is displayed. Then press and hold the Power off option.

    Your device will restart and you should see Safe mode at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Use your device as usual and see if the problem persists or not while you're in Safe mode.

    If the problem doesn't occur in Safe mode, then it is most likely that a downloaded app is causing that problem. Find and uninstall that app.

  3. To switch back to Normal mode, turn your device off, and then turn it back on again.

You can also restart into Safe mode using the hardware buttons. Press the POWER button to turn your device on. When you see the HTC logo on the screen, use the pin tool to press and hold the RECOVERY button at the back panel of your device until you see Safe mode appear.
