Better Sound Quality

The HTC One A9 represents the culmination of more than 20 years of experience in sound engineering from HTC and our partners. Every aspect, from the circuit board design to the placement of each electrical component, reduces sound interference and minimizes possible distortion. The built-in DAC produces outstandingly clean, noise-free audio, while the DSP converts and up-scales 16-bit audio to 24-bit 192KHz audio automatically4 The sound quality is better than a CD and simply doesn't exist on any other smartphone.

The HTC One A9 also includes a powerful high-output amplifier with double the power of some of its nearest rivals, providing more volume and dynamic range. The increased power delivers audiophile-grade sound, and when combined with a Hi-Res headset – such as the HTC Pro Studio Earphones – delivers superior sound quality you can hear – and feel.

Remarkable Photos Every Time

The HTC One A9 includes enhancements to both front and rear cameras, and the built-in camera software and editing tools ensure the HTC One A9 caters to both the professional and the everyday photographer. The 13MP rear-facing camera with built-in OIS (optical image stabilization) compensates for hand shake and vibrations for the perfect shot every time.

Auto mode is perfect for the individual that just wants to point and shoot. In Pro mode you can capture incredible image detail in RAW for an unmatched level of detail and post-shot editing flexibility. Photo Editor's one-button auto enhancement feature fine tunes your image to brighten colors and sharpen edges.

Taken in bright light or outdoors, selfies look good no matter what camera you use, but taken in the evening or indoors, they can face challenging lighting conditions. The UltraPixel front-facing camera delivers the best self-portraits in any lighting condition by capturing 300% more light than conventional smartphone cameras. We also added enhanced algorithms, advanced processing, and dynamic auto exposure to deliver high quality, natural looking results regardless of the light condition.

The HTC One A9 has a Hyperlapse feature, which allows you to speed up your videos up to 12x for a dramatic time-lapse effect to make videos epic.

The Latest from Android

The HTC One A9 is the first non-Nexus smartphone to run the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform which comes with cool new features such as Android Pay, Now on Tap, Doze and App Standby.

Combined with the multi-directional fingerprint scanner, Android Pay makes purchasing items as secure and as easy as "tap, pay, done." Google's Now on Tap feature also intuitively provides contextual information about whatever is on your screen – look up reviews for a movie from a text, hear a song mentioned in a blog post, or book seats at a restaurant from an email, all at the press of the home button.

The HTC One A9 has also been designed with all new power-saving capabilities to maximize battery life. Doze automatically turns off power hungry applications when your phone is left idle, such as when charging overnight, while App Standby knows when an app open in the background isn't being used and shuts it down until you need it again.

With the optional HTC Rapid Charger 2.0, the HTC One A9 charges up to 75% faster charging5 are all optimized to maximize battery life throughout the day. This means you can play 12 hours of HD video on one charge.

Despite the super slim design, we didn't compromise on the MicroSD card slot, which supports up to 2TB. With Marshmallow, the MicroSD card can be designated as additional internal storage to support more apps. In the U.S., the HTC One A9 has 3GB RAM, with 32GB memory.
