From CDP achievements to leveraging Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, here’s how we’re shaping a greener future
In the second half of 2025, we’re taking a moment to look back at HTC’s sustainability milestones that have defined the year so far. From external recognition to innovative partnerships, we have continued to drive positive change with a commitment to long-term environmental impact. Here's a look at our progress in H1 2025.
Leading in Supply Chain SustainabilityHTC again earned the top “A” rating in the CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), maintaining our leadership position in responsible supply chain management. This assessment looks at key areas like governance, carbon targets, Scope 3 emissions, risk management, and supplier engagement - and HTC achieved top marks across the board.
We also continued our strong performance in the EcoVadis sustainability evaluation, receiving the Silver Medal for the fourth year in a row. Notably, our performance in sustainable procurement placed us among the top 1% of industry peers. HTC was again included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, with standout ratings in environmental and social supply chain.
Climate and Environmental StrategyThe CDP Climate Change Questionnaire, in which HTC has held a respectable “B” rating for the past three years, expanded from 11 to 16 categories this year. Despite the tougher criteria, HTC’s performance at the leadership level (A or A-) rose to 64%, illustrating our continual progress toward more sustainable practices.
Additionally, HTC was again recognized by EcoVadis for its strong performance in carbon management, earning the highest title, “Leader,” for the second year in a row. We take our leadership responsibility seriously and have been voluntarily publishing independent climate disclosures aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) since 2022, such as our recent TCFD stand-alone report Additionally, we published our latest ESG and TCFD reports proactively in August 2025.
Leveraging Microsoft Cloud for SustainabilityIn the first half of 2025, we have continued to leverage Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability to great effect – with Microsoft even highlighting HTC’s use case. This platform has streamlined how we collect and monitor emissions data, making the entire process more efficient and reliable. What makes this achievement even more exciting is that HTC became one of the first companies in Asia to use Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability to complete verified greenhouse gas inventories (ISO14064-1) and product carbon footprints (ISO14067).
Strengthening Our ESG ProfileIn June, HTC received confirmation from the Taiwan Index Plus Corporation that it had been included in the FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index. The index – a collaboration between FTSE Russell and Taiwan Index Plus – highlights only those companies with strong ESG commitment and practices, and which are responsible and trustworthy investment vehicles. Being added to this reputable index shows that HTC meets globally recognized standards for ESG, and illustrates our commitment to sustainability and long-term value creation.
Looking AheadFrom operational excellence to technological innovation, we’re proud of how far we’ve come – and even more excited about where we’re headed next. We’ll continue sharing our progress through regular ESG updates, including our TCFD report for 2024 that was just published.
