HTC is proud to announce that it has been selected as a constituent of the FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index, marking the company’s first time to be included in the Taiwan Sustainability Index – a significant recognition of its efforts in the field of sustainable development.
Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell in partnership with the Taiwan Index Plus (TIP) Corporation, the FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index initially screens for Taiwanese listed companies within the FTSE4Good Emerging Markets Index, and then further selects constituents based on their financial indicators and fulfillment of sustainability obligations. The FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index is designed to measure the performance of companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.
Being included in the Taiwan Sustainability Index for the first time holds extraordinary significance for HTC, highlighting the company’s strong performance in environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance within the realm of sustainable development.
Additionally, this marks the fourth year for HTC to be selected as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. The continued inclusion is a testament to HTC's unwavering commitment to strong ESG practices, having consistently demonstrated its ability to meet and exceed requirements based on FTSE Russell’s independent evaluation. In this year’s FTSE ESG rating, HTC excelled in all three ESG pillars, including in the areas of Environmental Supply Chain, Social Supply Chain, and Anti-Corruption.
HTC extends its gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to its ongoing success in ESG. We remain committed to supporting a more environmentally friendly, socially conscious, and responsible world.
