I'm having problems with HTC BoomSound

You may be experiencing any of these issues:

HTC BoomSound™ cannot be turned on/off
HTC BoomSound™ settings are grayed out

In some circumstances the HTC BoomSound™ setting will be grayed out and cannot be turned on or off. This checklist describes how HTC BoomSound operates normally under different conditions.

When you use phone speakers without an accessory, HTC BoomSound will always be On with the setting grayed out.
When you use wired headphones, HTC BoomSound is On by default but can be toggled Off.
When you use Bluetooth headphones, speakers or a car kit, HTC BoomSound will always be Off with the setting grayed out.

If the HTC BoomSound setting is not responding as intended, additional steps can be taken.

Power cycling your phone may help to solve the issue. Follow these steps:

Press and hold the POWER button until the Phone Options appear.
Tap Power Off and wait for the phone to fully turn off.
Wait for a few moments, and then turn the phone on by pressing and holding the POWER button.

A factory data reset can also resolve some software issues.

Note: Factory Reset Protection may be enabled. Before taking the following steps, ensure you have the login information of the main Google account that is logged into the phone or you will be unable to use the phone.

Go to Settings, and then tap Backup & reset.
Tap Factory data reset or Reset phone.
Tap Reset phone or OK.
