I can't connect with Bluetooth
You may be experiencing any of these issues:
  • Your phone cannot pair with another Bluetooth device.
  • A Bluetooth service is not available when you pair with a Bluetooth device.
  • Your phone's Bluetooth service does not turn on.
Connecting to a different Bluetooth device can resolve some connection issues. Follow these steps:
  1. With two fingers, swipe down from the status bar to open the Quick Settings panel.
  2. Tap the Settings icon.
  3. Tap the Bluetooth On/Off switch to turn the Bluetooth connection on and off.
  4. Place the Bluetooth device you want to connect to in pairing mode. See the manufacturer's user guide on how to do this.
  5. Scan for devices to connect to. Tap Bluetooth > Scan for devices.
  6. Tap the name of the device you want to pair with.
  7. Tap Pair to confirm. Some Bluetooth accessories will require confirmation as well.
  8. Type the passkey and tap OK if prompted. Some default passkeys are 0000 and 1234. If needed, check the manufacturer's user guide to confirm the pairing process.
    • If a device is paired to multiple Bluetooth accessories and can't pair to a new one, try removing the existing pairings and try the setup process again.
    • If the device is still not pairing to the accessory, try pairing with another Bluetooth accessory if possible.
Check the Bluetooth profile of a paired device. Follow these steps:
  1. Check for compatibility with the accessory manufacturer and what profiles the phone uses.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. Tap the Settings icon next to the name of the paired Bluetooth device.
  4. Check if the service you want is listed.
Note: If the option does not appear then the service may not be available for the accessory or there may be a compatibility conflict. Check with the Bluetooth accessory manufacturer for compatibility with your phone.
Removing incompatible paired Bluetooth devices can solve some Bluetooth connection issues. Follow these steps:
  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the Settings icon next to the name of the paired Bluetooth device.
  3. Tap Unpair .

A factory data reset can also resolve some software issues.

Note: Factory Reset Protection may be enabled. Before taking the following steps, ensure you have the login information of the main Google account that is logged into the phone or you will be unable to use the phone.
  1. Go to Settings, and then tap Backup & reset.
  2. Tap Factory data reset or Reset phone.
  3. Tap Reset phone or OK.
