HTC Corporation Anti-corruption & bribery Statement
HTC Corporation Anti-corruption & bribery Statement
As a global corporation, HTC Corporation is committed to operating ethically and in compliance with the laws of the countries in which we do business.
In an attempt to fight corruption, bribery and extortion, HTC has stated anti-corruption guidelines in the HTC Code of Conduct which is published in the annual report and available under investor relations on the company website. The HTC Code of Conduct establishes a high ethical standard for staff as a guide for the implementation of company operations. The Code covers general principles, customer and supplier relationships, and conflicts of interest, as well as the HTC integrity management policy. The HTC Code of Conduct is designed to be an online course, and is mandatory for all employees, to enable an awareness of anti-corruption and anti-bribery and ensure that principles and practices are well understood at all levels within HTC.
In addition, as clearly set forth in the HTC Employee Handbook, involvement in fraud, bribery, embezzlement may lead to a punitive dismissal. A dedicated reporting channel (anti-corruption@htc.com) has also been established for employees, suppliers and other interested parties to expose any improper behavior that comes to their attention.
It is HTC’s policy to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our relationships and business dealings wherever we operate and to implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery. The effectiveness of the implementation of this policy will be monitored and reviewed regularly considering its suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
