I'm having difficulty establishing a data connection
You may be experiencing any of these issues:
  • Your phone's data connection shows it is on, but you cannot connect to the Internet.
  • Your phone's data connection is on, but your connection to the Internet is unreliable.
  • Your data connection is unreliable while Data Roaming is on.
You can add a new Access Point Name (APN) when roaming or if you have difficulty establishing a data connection. APNs connect your phone to data networks for services such as mobile web browsing.
Note: Contact your mobile operator for the details of your APN, including username and password (if required).
Follow these steps:
  1. With two fingers, swipe down from the status bar to open the Quick Settings panel.
  2. Tap the Settings icon.
  3. Tap Mobile data or Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Access point names or APNs.
  5. Tap the Add icon.
  6. Enter the APN settings.
  7. Tap the Menu icon.
  8. Tap Save.
  9. Select the new APN.
