How to disconnect your phone from your computer safely

After you have used your phone while it was connected to your computer, it is very important to disconnect your phone from your computer with the correct procedure to avoid damaged data or a corrupt storage card.

Select an option.

If you have been accessing your phone's storage, select Unmount from the phone's Notification bar.
If you have been using your phone as a card reader, select Safely Remove from your computer's task bar.
