I can't drag down the notification bar

 You may be experiencing any of these issues:

  • You cannot drag down the notification bar
  • You can only drag the notification bar down in portrait/landscape. 

Dirt or even a screen protector can potentially interfere with the operation of the screen. Follow these steps to check your screen:

  1. Wipe your screen with a soft, dry cloth.
  2. Try to drag the notification bar down again.

 You may be able able to resolve the issue by resetting your Pointer Location. To reset your Pointer Location, follow these steps:

  1. If you have an Android 4.x+ device, go to Settings > Developer options, and enable Pointer Location.
    If the screen is not working, it will not show your touches in certain locations.
  2. Try to drag the notification bar down again.

Some issues can be resolved by power cycling your phone. Follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold POWER until the Phone Options appear.
  2. Select Power Off and wait for the phone to fully turn off.
  3. Wait for a few moments, and then power the phone on by pressing and holding the POWER button.
