You may be experiencing any of these issues:

• Contacts or apps are missing from your phone after a system update.
• Your phone is unstable, freezing, slow or crashing after update.

If the Mobile HotSpot app is no longer displayed in the Apps list, this feature is still available through the Settings menu. Follow these steps to locate the Mobile HotSpot feature:

1. Swipe down from the Notifications bar with two fingers, or tap the Apps icon from the home screen.
2. Navigate to Settings > More > Mobile network sharing.
3. Tap Mobile HotSpot.

To add the Wi-Fi HotSpot widget to the home screen for quick and easy access, tap and hold on any blank area of the home screen and select Add apps and widgets. The Wi-Fi Hotspot widget is available under the Widgets category.

Contacts may also be missing after a system update. Contacts that were on the phone and were not backed up on other media, cannot be recoved.

Contacts stored on a PC app such as Outlook may also be recovered by using HTC Sync Manager to re-sync the contacts to the device. Follow these steps to recover contacts associated with an account (Google, Exchange, etc):

1. Remove the accounts that contain contacts.
   Settings > Accounts & sync > [desired account] > Menu (3 dots) > Remove
2. Clear data for the contacts storage.
   Settings > Apps > ALL (tab) > Contacts Storage > Clear data
3. Re-add the desired accounts.
   Settings > Accounts & sync > + icon > follow the steps to set up the accounts
4. Toggle Auto-sync off then back on and ensure all accounts sync properly.

Some issues can also be resolved by power cycling your phone. Follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the POWER button until the Phone Options appear.
2. Select Power Off and wait for the phone to fully turn off.
3. Wait for a few moments, and then power the phone on by pressing and holding the POWER button.
