If your phone supports external USB storage, you can view and manage the files and folders on it.

Open the
File Manager app.

Connect a USB adapter to your phone and your external USB drive.

You can then do one of the following:
- On phone models with
Android 6 or later: You'll see a popup with the instructions for granting access to the USB storage. Tap
Next, and then tap
Done to close the popup. Tap
. Tap
, tap the name of your USB drive, and then tap
Select. On the
File Manager main screen, swipe to the
USB Storage tab, and then navigate to the file or folder you'd like to open.
- On phone models with
Android 5 Lollipop: Open the
File Manager app, and then swipe to the
USB Storage tab. Navigate to the file or folder you'd like to open.
