How do I program touch tones for automated phone systems?
If you have difficulty calling into an automated phone system, follow these steps to program the number as a new contact:
  1. Open the Contact List by navigating to All Programs > People.
  2. In one number string (no spaces) enter the number and a P for Pause (3 seconds) or a W for Wait (wait until the call has connected). If the string does not work, try setting the tones for a longer period (a W instead of a P).
    In a simple automated system, if you wish to dial 333-222-1111 ex. 3 you would program the number as: 333222111P3 and save that contact.
    For an advanced automated system, if you wish to dial 1-800-333-2222, option 2, 4, 0 you would program the number as: 18003332222p2p4p0 and save the contact.
