How to create a personal audio profile

Everyone has different audio preferences. You might even want different listening experiences for movies and music. BoomSound on the HTC 10 now includes fully customizable Personal Audio Profiles, so you can enjoy the sound and audio comfort levels which are best for your media experience.

Follow these steps to create a Personal Audio Profile:

  1. Insert headphones into your phone.
  2. Navigate to Settings > HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio.
  3. Tap Personal Audio Profile.
You will be prompted to either answer questions to quickly create a profile, or listen to different sound frequencies to create a more accurate profile.

Multiple Personal Audio Profiles can be created on a device and can be changed in the HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio settings. Follow these instructions to manage multiple profiles:

  1. Create another profile by tapping the + icon in the upper right corner of the Personal Audio Profile screen and following the on screen prompts.
  2. Tap Personal Audio Profile and select the profile you wish to use.
The HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio setting is only available if headphones are plugged in, otherwise the setting will be grayed out.
