  1. Available storage is less due to phone software.
  2. Network bands in regions other than Europe and Asia Pacific may be different, depending on the mobile operator and your location. Upload and download speeds also depend on the mobile operator.
  3. NFC availability depends on the mobile operator and your location. Please check with your mobile operator.
  4. Battery times (talk time, standby time, and more) are subject to network and phone usage.
A Standby time specification ("specification") is an industry standard that is only intended to allow comparison of different mobile devices under the same circumstances. Power consumption in a standby state is strongly dependent on factors including but not limited to network, settings, location, movement, signal strength and cell traffic . Comparisons of different mobile devices using such a specification can therefore only be done in a controlled laboratory environment . When using any mobile device in real life circumstances for which the mobile device is intended, the standby time could be considerably lower and will be strongly dependent on the factors as mentioned above.

Note: Specifications are subject to change without prior notice

Windows Phone 8X by HTC 4.4 5 262 262
Its Brilliant! It has absolutely everything I would expect in any Smart Phone. The entire experience has been very exciting! I am very satisfied with the results, mainly because it is fun, easy to use & very easy on the eyes. I would recommend this product to anyone! April 19, 2013
On hand experience Nice phone with super slim design, faster net browsing, 4g etc etc. but lacks sound equilizer. January 30, 2013
The Ultimate Choice This phone applied the proverb : With HTC 8X Phones became able to change your Life. January 15, 2013
nice phone but lacks support from htc What htc has done is developed an awesome phone with no support. No apps have been designed specifically for 8x. Performance wise the phone is good but what good is it wit no app support. Nokia releases apps but htc is very much bothered about its android market. January 27, 2013
Nice specs & design, yet powerful, truely a flagship phone! This is my 4th HTC (5th smartphone in all), and by far the best and most good looking of them all. Amazing design with vibrant colors (I have the California Blue), and it sure makes heads turn just by the sheer look of it. Kudos to HTC for making a phone that stands out from other boring smartphone designs. Saying that, there's one concern; the soft matte finish on the body. I feel that it will fade or lose the color as time goes by. The f/2.0 autofocus camera is really good with BSI sensor, and produces good shots in low light too. The front camera is ultra-wide lens; widest out there, which means you can cover more area and people into the frame; it supports 1080p video, perfect for video chats. The 4.3 inch 720p Super LCD2 display is absolutely gorgeous, a treat to watch every single time. It has 341ppi, which makes text and other content sharp and a pleasure to look at. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The screen has 16:9 aspect ratio. It has great viewing angles and also works good in outdoor conditions. Being powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM, the performance is butter-smooth. No questions about that, as Windows Phone already feels snappy and smooth with configurations of even a single core processor. Battery is a 1800mAh one, which seems ok, if not great. For a power user, it should go through a working day on a single charge. Call quality and audio is top notch and clear. Beats audio with built in pre-amplifier is an added advantage. Other specifications are also nice, such as NFC support. Pros: Amazing looks and design. High-end specs in a compact and colorful package. Good camera. Great audio. Great performance, very smooth with no lag. Cons: Battery life is moderate, but should be ok for normal users. Power users might feel the need to charge it more often. Just 16GB internal storage, no option to add external storage. Overall, there's no doubt that 8X is a worthy flagship. I would definitely recommend it. January 30, 2013
HTC 8x Review This has got to be one of the nicest looking phones that i have ever owned. It's overall look is sleek and fits great in the hand! I have no problems typing and searching because the way its built allows the user to navigate through it with ease. When you first turn this phone on the vividness of the live tiles is impeccable and the ease of customizing their size and location makes it even more fun to play with. I did not think i would like the tiles and the microsoft layout of everything having come from an 1X but i am loving every bit of it. The camera on this thing is insane! The photos come out looks amazing and the tap option that counts down from 3 is very handy. This phone has AN ACTUAL CAMERA BUTTON!!! Having that physical button on the side is amazing! No more shaky photos! Even with video this phones proves to be just amazing. The only cons i would say this phone has is with its app market. The Microsoft market does not have the exact same apps as the play market has or even itunes but in the end its basically the same. BUT i have to say the the FACEBOOK app in the microsoft office is much nicer and much easier to navigate through than the one on the play store. January 30, 2013
Fantastic phone for first timers or those wanting a change As a long time smartphone user (first was HTC Himalaya way back in 2003), it takes a lot for a handset to impress me, but the HTC 8X has surpassed all that I look for in a device. Mention Windows Phone 8 to most handset owners, and they will screw their face up in disgust, but they have obviously not tried it, let alone on a flagship device such as the HTC 8X. I am not going to go in depth on Windows Phone 8, as this is just the operating system and not the device itself. When you first open the box for the handset, you are presented with a large amount of screen real estate - 4.3" to be exact. The dimensions of the screen do not include the touch capacitive buttons. The front of the device is furnished with Corning's fantastic Gorilla Glass 2 which is resistant to most abuse thrown at it. The clarity of the 720P screen is amongst the best I have seen. Blacks are truely black, and colours are vibrant without being oversaturated. Even in bright conditions, the screen is perfectly readable, as it is in low light with the brightness turned to the lowest setting. Text quality is the best I have seen on any device, and although the system font used by Microsoft in the Windows Phone 8 OS is very clear, the screen display has a lot to do with it as well. The rear of the handset is coated with a non-slip "rubberised" coating which feels beautiful in the hand. Even with wet hands, there is little chance of it slipping out of the grip. The coating wraps around the body of the 8X by a couple of millimetres so the edges are nice to the touch. Will the coating rub off over time? Only long term use will tell, but in the 2 months I have been using the 8X, it looks brand new still! The dual core Snapdragon S4 SoC processor is lightning fast in all applications on the device, and renders large graphic heavy resources smoothly. Couple this with 1GB of RAM, and you have a silky smooth experience that makes the handset feel much more powerful in real term usage #not synthetic benchmarks which prove little in real world performance# than some Android devices running quad core SoC's and 2GB of RAM! Where the 8X really stands out from the crowd is the camera functions. The front facing camera has a 2.1MP resolution #1980x1080# which makes it one of the highest resolution front facing cameras on any device, but it has a F/2.0 aperture setting which allows for very crisp images in all light conditions. The ultra wide angle lens allows for much more information to be captured by the lens, i.e. on a photo taken with most handsets, 2 or 3 people maximum can fit side by side in the picture, where as with the 8X front camera, you can fit 6 people in a line! The dedicated HTC ImageChip processes captures quickly indeed. The rear facing main camera has a 8MP #3264x2448# ImageChip which features auto focus, BSI sensor for low light images, LED flash and the same F/2.0 aperture as the front facing camera. If you like to have a good depth of field with a blurred background to your pictures #bokeh# then you are going to absolutely fall in love with the 8X's camera. Audio quality is top drawer also, and callers can be heard clearly without any problems. Microphone quality is also very good. When connected to a car BlueTooth kit, you can tell the difference between some other devices out there instantly. When it comes to the battery, this is where the 8X lets itself down a little. The 1800mAh Lithium Ion Polymer battery is more than adequate for most users with a single daily charge, but for a heavy user that may wish to watch video or use the device with the screen on a lot, may find themselves reaching for a charger sooner rather than later. I have managed to get 48 hours out of a single charge with over 4 hours of calls, text messaging and light internet usage before needing to charge, but this is about the same with most other devices with similar capacity battery's fitted. You can conserve the battery a fair bit by turning off WiFi, Bluetoooth, NFC and GPS functions unless required to actually use, as also not having too many Live Tiles on the homescreen. WOuld I recommend this handset? Totally, and I have surprised a lot of the naysayers that turned their nose up when I told them I was using a Windows Phone 8 device, when I have showed them how fast it is compared to their "fruity" or larger screened Android devices. I am going to continue using my OneX as well, but the 8X is fast becoming my daily use device of choice. January 30, 2013
Great design, very few flaws Design: I've never, ever held a phone that feels better than this. The body has a nice grippy feeling, it's the perfect size and fits perfectly in my hand, unlike the One X that's always felt a bit too big and easy to drop Screen: 4.3" is my new favorite. It's the perfect size for me, not too big such that it's difficult to use with one hand, not too small either. However, the viewing angles on this weren't the best I've seen, nor were the colors, but overall a respectable display. Camera: The rear facing camera is excellent, similar to the One X, meaning it'll give you some very respectable images, the wide angle lens for the front facing camera isn't a joke either, you can fit in a lot, difficult to do in most other devices. Audio Quality: Beats Audio certainly makes a difference, not always for the better. Rear speaker is incredibly loud compared to other devices I've tried. Battery Life: Isn't the best, but shouldn't be a huge problem for most. January 30, 2013
