Rated 5 out of 5Â by HamdirR Best Smartphone Ever Made? the world agrees
The HTC One is designed to leave you speechless, to amaze and surprise you, the moment you pick it up you will be welcomed by an amazingly pixel dense LCD screen, at an amazing 470ppi with blacks super deep and infinite view angles, next the sound, never did you hear a sound so good from a mobile device, matching quality laptop speakers, it's not only about loudness but clean dimensional quality thanks to its stereo nature, the phone also records audio HDR stereo quality (try it in a concert and you will be amazed), then you notice the build quality, the phone is rigid, the finish is exquisite, the metal parts are laser cut to perfection and the injected plastic bands are completely flush with the device.
Now that we are done with the triple sensory attack, we move to practical matters, complimenting the hardware we find a very light and super smooth customized android experience (which gets even smoother with the just released 4.2.2 update) no lag, no stutters, no freezes, no bugs, none of the issues from your previous android device, just flawless refined out of box perfected software.
The camera is very innovative, with great advantages but also you need to be mindful of few shortcomings, this is why i will discuss it in detail, mainly being 3x larger than the ordinary smartphone pixel size, the pixel density gets a reduction in return, this is why the camera can only do 4 megapixels but captures 3x the detail due to the light loving sensor, you will find extra detail captured in the dark areas of the image, with eye popping almost three dimensional results and much unlike the usual flat photos taken by smartphones, on the other hand it's still 4 megapixels, which are plenty in most screens at 1:1 but don't expect to do any zooming, as for digital zoom? forget about it will immediately destroy your results, in fact i would have preferred if HTC didn't provide the digital zoom option at all, but ofcourse the greatest advantage of the ultrapixel is low light, never did a phone capture so much detail in low light, the low light abilities are extended with the camera settings, auto mode will slow down the shutter and take great photos, night mode will slow it further and take similar results with less noise, but HDR will simply shock you, it will see at night beyond what your eyes can see, you can even use the flash with low light HDR, the phone will snap two different exposures and use the flash to simply boost the exposure without tinting or casting shadows to the image, finally you can use ZOE mode to take fast shutter low light results for fast moving objects, the light abilities have an effect on daylight photos though, so in some cases the phone can overexpose an image, this is why you will need to choose your focus/point correctly, otherwise you can control exposure from the settings or rely on HDR/Backlight modes, the shutter in daylight is incredibly fast, even faster in ZOE mode, perfect for taking photos of your loved ones, holding down the shutter will give you time freeze stop motion results, so all in all if you don't care about pixel count and willing to work with the camera settings a little, this is the greatest all-rounder smartphone camera around, usable in all conditions.
One the most amazing camera software features, is the video highlights, the phone compiles a short film from events within the gallery, using all the photos, ZOEs and videos available for an event, this is all done with zero wait in real time! You can choose the theme/music for the edited video, in practical use if you were using your phone during a day to take photos/videos, at the end of the day you can have them all complied in a very nice video highlight. We also have the ZOE photo manipulation abilities but i will stop here since i can go on forever.
The IR remote is surprisingly useful; you can even program any remote control by choosing "other" and pointing the original remote to your HTC One! You can control every visual/audio equipment in your living but even air conditioners, ceiling fans etc
Battery life will last you from the morning till end of day, on average use, unlike most smartphones the phone doesn't drain badly during actually usage even with high screen brightness, the only possible problem with the battery life is that you can have some needless standby drain if you have many accounts syncing in the background so controlling those account can be helpful, i found the Qualcomm Snapdragon Battery Guru app (From the maker of the HTC One CPU, you can download from the android playstore ) great at reducing standby drain, alternatively the phone also includes a power saver mode which reduces the CPU speed from 1.7ghz to 1.1ghz and reduces background data activity .
To conclude, you will be left speechless, it's not that the HTC One masters one specific element but it is the global quality of this device as a whole that is mouthwatering, there is not one area left out or neglected, the entire abilities of this device combined working in harmony to give you a truly unique, sleek and "next level" experience.
Check the online expert reviews and hype, the world agrees this is the best smartphone made to date.

I changed from the Galaxy SIII over to the HTC One. I've been very happy with the phone in my first week. The additional features on the phone are useful, the overall look and feel of the phone feels more sophisticated, and having the speakers on the front of the phone makes an amazing difference! Very happy with the switch.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by resank Really an awesome phone experience with HTC ONE..
I love this product and name itself meant "HTC" is number "ONE".
But I too sad with the recent upgrade planned for Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5. So far this upgrade is not available in my region(India). So can you say when can expect the upgrade in India...!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Rituraj Great Phone but one serious shortcoming
Indeed the best Android phone you can get in the market. Look and feel is awesome and quality is the best. Little disappointment in terms of battery life.. to completely charge the phone (100%), it takes 4 to 5 hours which is really irritating. The charge also last only for a day. This means you will almost always charging the handset. HTC must do better R&D and overcome this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 The Best Smartphone of 2013 HTC ONE
The HTC One is the best Android phone I’ve tested to date, and the best phone on the market today. It’s superior construction and build-quality make the Galaxy S4 feel cheap, and the gorgeous screen is a show stopper. Carrying around this device will certainly garner some peeks and interest from others, as it feels like you can’t help but be drawn to the simple, yet elegant and functional design. The vivid bright screen will make you wish they made it in a size ten times bigger, as movies never looked so good. The HTC One can easily perform as well as other new high-end devices like the S4 or Optimus G in real life situations.
The HTC One is fast, very fast. The HTC One features a quad-core 1.7 Ghz Qualcomm Krait processor utilizing the Snapdragon 600 chipset. The HTC One features 2 GB of RAM as well, and 32GB of internal storage.
HTC One also showcases the company's revamped Sense UI. The latest Sense 5 UI brings some drastic changes to the earlier look and feel of the home screen and is divided in two main screens - Blink Feed and Android homescreen. The Blink Feed becomes your aggregator for news, notifications, photo gallery and other social updates from various networking sites. This makes news not only more accessible, but with the feed updated every two hours on a data connection (or more if you have a Wi-Fi) you always stay abreast with the latest. The second screen as we mentioned above is the standard Android homescreen that allows you to add and place shortcuts and widgets.
The device is fitted with a 4.7-inch Super LCD3 touchscreen with a 1920x1080 pixel Full HD resolution at a whopping 468 pixels-per-inch. At the top and bottom of the frame we see the micro drilled holes which highlight the front facing stereo speakers. You also get HTC BoomSound, which brings Beats Audio technology and a dedicated amplifier for a more improved and enhanced sound quality.
The HTC One comes with only two touch navigation keys, the Home and Back button. The third Menu button has been stripped from the hardware in favor of contextual menus within Android applications. Although most apps for Android now include a software menu, especially if they are optimized from Android 4.0 or higher, the lack of a menu key may take some getting used to for seasoned Android users. On the top of the device is the sleep/wake button, and on the right side is the volume rocker. The bottom of the device is where users will find a Micro-USB port for charging and/or syncing; however, the port is offset slightly to the right side and isn’t center, something peculiar (but I’m sure there’s a reason for it) and it makes docking the HTC One a little more difficult.
The HTC One also flaunts some stunning camera capabilities which raises the bar for smartophones further. The device packs in 4-megapixels and before you dismiss it, hear it out. The HTC One basically houses four million, large, UltraPixels in its sensor. To give you a comparison, eight million smaller pixels are found in 5-megapixel iPhone 5 while thirteen million micro pixels are found in the 13-megapixels Sony Xperia Z. This basically means that HTC One's each pixel is physically bigger and therefore enables you to capture more light, thereby producing a overall more vibrant and high-resolution picture.Other camera goodies on board include optical image stabilization and something called Zoe. Now Zoe is basically a camera mode that allows you to capture a 3.6 second video clip simultaneously with a burst of 20 full resolution photo.
The extra weight of the HTC One mentioned above can be attributed to the battery and aluminum frame. The HTC One comes with a 2300 mAh battery, 300 mAh smaller than the Galaxy S4′s battery. However, the HTC One’s battery life when in Power Saving mode lasts much longer than the Galaxy S4 when in the same mode. Where S4 users were able to get through one day on the Galaxy S4 on a single charge, the HTC One was able to last two. Bottom line, the HTC One’s longevity is a breath of fresh air, and will keep users texting, tweeting, and surfing day and night with no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ghaleb88 The Best Smartphone I have used
I am a tech fanatic and usually I change my smartphone very frequently, around 2 smartphones per year. In my opinion, the HTC one is really the best smartphone I have every used. The FHD screen looks amazing and the fonts always appear to be crispy and clear. The sound that this smartphone can produce is really awesome because of the two speakers and the boom-sound feature. I started actually watching full videos on my smartphone for the first time because of the sound and display experience. It comes with Sense 5, for me, which has two very important features: Blinkfeed and Zoe. I usually start my day by visiting tech blogs and news sites while going by bus to work, with blinkfeed i can read all the news very easily. I consider Zoe to be the best innovation ever from HTC as I can now captures short 3 seconds video clips from still photos where I can later one choose the best photo and export it. Overall the phone is excellent. The battery life could have been better, but for a heavy user like me, I charge it once per day which is, for me, is excellent.

The sound quality of this HTC one is very very poor. The dual frontal stereo speakers are vibrating while the speaker is on especially when dialing. While speaking when the speaker is on, the sound output is distorting. According to me, the speakers of this device is of poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Simoniel Trully the best phone out there
After being in a smartphone world for almost 10 years now, this is the first time i can really say wow, the One totally blows me away. There has been a long time since a phone with so many new features has been revealed, One is packed to the full. First thing u notice when u hold it for he first time is the design, its absolutely beautifull, round backside makes it ergonomic and very comfortable to hold, the phone leaves feeling that is much smaller than it is. One's beauty is really unique and a story of its self.
BoomSound - my top new feature on the phone, don't judge it before you hear it. By far the best audio experience on the mobile device ever, totally blows away anything compared to it.
BlinkFeed - thought this is going to be a gimmick, a feature i wouldn't use, i was wrong. I have it setup to show only things that are interesting to me, and use it all the time to keep myself updated. Big thumbs up on its design and transition effects.
Ultapixels and Zoe - i'm quite glad HTC took a turn in the megapixel war cause that wasn't going anywhere really. What sensor needs is light, light, light...and have i mentioned light? :)...bigger pixel size in a conjuction with a high aperture size lens is what makes camera a good one. One's camera doesn't dissapoints and its a trully enjoyment to use it low light conditions. Zoe is a great and easy way to make your memories into a cool short movies which u will watch more than u think so.
Sense 5 - as a past Sense user i must say thank you HTC, thank your for making it lighter and still managing to leave its personality. It looks GREAT and it runs faster then a intergalactical spaceship.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by miHah It is a phone for everyone!
I own my HTC One for more than two months now and I must admit it is better than I first thought it will be! Before the One I had One X which is really an awesome phone. But when you make a switch to HTC One your mind can be blown away. First thing that impressed me were the speakers while phone was turning on for the first time - it really makes a difference. It is my first phone that had never lagged on me nor was slowing down with daily tasks, everything you do, you can do with ease. I don't know what more I could expect from a phone. Even the battery is good..it could be better but is more than acceptable. It manages to go through whole day with 20-40% left.
Thank you HTC for making my life easier with HTC One!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by MarcusToronto DIED AFTER 17 DAYS....
HTC I loved it for the short period of time it was alive, that said it died 2 DAYS after the dealer 15 day coverage....
I am a good advocate who chooses cellphones wisely, and though I believe HTC is a superior product with upside in the market place, if they don't correct equipment quality issues like mine than they are dead in the water.
I tend to influence the group around me when it comes to technology.
The way I put it is "you can't sell me a 4th iphone"....
HTC... Make this situation right.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Trissnow AWESOME! BUY IT NOW!
This phone is PERFECT! Everything from the design, to the screen, passing by the internal hardware! That phone feels like an expensive piece of jewelry with, what I found, a perfect weight. I love that aluminium feel and finish. And, it is sturdy and durable. The screen is ultra responsive and, as expected, absolutely gorgeous. With a 469 PPI, you can't see the pixels. There is 24 bit (16 millions) of colors so it covers at mega large color spectrum! The viewing angles and the color balance and saturation is very, VERY good. This phone is very speedy with is Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset, Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 CPU and 2GB of RAM. Awesome graphics come from is Adreno 320 GPU. The battery life is very good.
Overall, this phone deserves a 9.8 out of 10 rating. I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY!

I love this phone. But I have three problems...
The first problem is the battery , It's not that bad but I wish it lasts longer.
And the second problem is the Polished gap , I like it and I found it cool but I can see Scratches there.
The last one is the cam. I don't use mobilephone cam. alot so I won't talk about this point.
On the other hand , I like One's hardware and I think it's one of the best -if it's not the best- hardware,
the HTC sence and watching videos on HTC One.
At last I'm PROUD because I'm using this smartphone. Thank You HTC.

I love HTC devices and always have. Sense is amazing. Sense is basically the bits inside that make it so good. Like being able to refit text to your screen in the browser. Even silence the ringer by flipping the phone over. The phone couldn't work better in everyday life. Everything from the blink feed to the ultra pixel camera are just amazing. I can't get enough of using the phone as my remote for my tv!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ljuba A game changer
Nothing will be the same since the launch of the One! This phone is a long needed refreshment to the over saturated and uninventive phone market, bringing style, quality and power in one package. This review would be too long if I mention every single bit that I like about the HTC One, as they truly did an amazing job creating this device. The look and feel of the all aluminum body is something that words can hardly describe and will most certainly change the way we perceive design and quality on a mobile phone. Hardware wise, unless you want to render CGI on your phone, you will struggle to find anything that will make it skip a beat. The amazing Ultrapixel camera and its low light capabilities are on a whole different level and will surprise you with every shot. BoomSound, BlinkFeed, Zoes, Highlight videos, great battery life, the list goes on. Every feature on the One is absolutely practical and useful, showing that the HTC team really did listen to the users, giving them exactly what they need. It's been more than two months since I started using this phone and I still have trouble leaving it alone for a prolonged periods of time, and that is something I never experienced before, with any mobile device I used. HTC did a dang fine job with the One and have my absolute recommendation!

This phone has amazing build quality and feels and looks really nice in the hand. The screen is very bright and clear. The battery life is very good. The Boomsound is truly amazing.
The camera sensor could do with more pixels, but the software component is good.
I like the Blinkfeed also. I prefer this over running a separate app or widget for that purpose.
Overall it's a very good phone with very good looks. Thank you HTC.

I got my brand new HTC One on April 23, 2013 and found that there's a dead pixel on the screen on May 8, just past 15 days of the retail replacement warranty, so that I have to send it to factory for repairing, I have waited for 2 weeks to get my phone back. I believed the screen has been replaced and looked great. However, the phone was dead suddenly on Aug 11, I couldn't turn it on so that I couldn't back up anything from the phone, I was really frustrated and have to send the phone out for repairing for another 2 weeks again...it's been repair for twice within 4 months, actually I only used the phone for less than 3 months since 1 months for repairing. I'm so disappointed and won't recommend others for this phone. I couldn't change other phone because of my 3 years contract with service provider, I can't imagine how can I use it for 3 years if it's been fixed twice within 4 months...hopefully it's the last time to fix it :(

I'm absolutely astonished by the awesomeness of this phone! It looks fantastic both outside and inside, it's zippy fast, never ever spotted the slightest lag whatsover, camera is amazing and has a ton of great features, absolutely loving HTC Sense 5 (I have been using HTC One X w Sense 4+ for over a year) and with the latest update, which was really fast in my country (Slovakia) after the original release in Taiwan, it's just a powerhouse! The only little minus is the battery life, whis has been perfect so far but now it looks less decent with the 4.2.2 update, but it's still enough to take me through the whole day! :)
