Rated 5 out of 5Â by Liutauras Phone of the year?
Then I first saw htc One, thought: well, it looks pretty good, but is it really so good, as it mentioned in the specs? And now after week of use, I can surely said, that it is simply amazing! Skeptics may say, that the camera is not perfect, or there is lack of memory card and removable back case. I could answer to all those skeptics that it is not as important as feel and look in the hand, it is called quality! I was searching for the perfect phone for about 2 years, and until I saw this htc One, there wasn't anyone which can pretend to be. Overall I'll give htc 9,5 in mind that they won't stop to create stunnig devices! Good luck!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AlexF Best phone out there!
Great phone. I ve been using the sony xperia Z for a month and also tried the Samsung s4 for a week. All three are great phones, but HTC has my vote, as it is a better phone alltogether. It' s better built and pretty much beats the other two in most categories.

What i am waiting for is the Android update for my super star.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by GaryB Very slow web access
I don't understand how all these other reviewers are happy with their phones. I got an HTC One from Verizon. It's a beautiful design and feels great, no doubt. But I immediately started having problems. Web browsing access - one of the main things I use the phone for - is extremely slow. It would take literally seconds for every touch to bring up a web page. Worse, there is no feedback when you touch - I repeatedly found myself wondering "did I touch the link or not?" Also, I listen to a lot of MP3 and streaming podcasts. I tested it: it took literally one minute to bring up my favorite podcast. I did it repeatedly. I took it back to Verizon and exchanged it for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and am pleased to report I am much happier with the S4.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JazzMasterZEE The best phone ever!
I have used this phone for 6 months and I have got a silver one 32gb. The screen is so fast and sharp it is amazing and it is fully hd. The camera has a ultrapixel camera and it is so good in low light. the boom sound by beats audio is amazing it is the best sounding phone of 2013. It has the nice aluminum feel and it is super light! I think it is the best phone of 2013 and maybe for even 2014 if it is lucky not upgrading so for about 2 years

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Gribble Excellent phone but it does have it's faults
I've now had my HTC One in black for just over a month and I love it however I am beginning to notice a few faults with it.
Pros - the screen quality is fantastic! And the size makes watching my favourite shows and movies on the go a pleasure. The build quality is simply amazing. The aluminium body is a joy to hold and it feels very robust. It's easy to use (even an ex iPhone addict can use it)
Cons - when listening to music through any set of headphones there is a very noticeable hiss in the background and gets very annoying. The proximity sensors are not functioning as they should on my handset. The exact impact of this fault I am yet to find out. The battery life isn't fantastic but with such a large screen and a phone I can't put down it is little wonder why it only lasts a day.
Overall a great phone but it has it's problems.

Htc one is really great, with best screen, with best audio and video quality, he must come first, but battery life could be better, for example 2600mAh, and screen size about 4.9 inch, but after all, Htc one is the best phone in the world at this moment

Rated 5 out of 5Â by sKyWaLkeRz Impressed!
This phone is quite the departure from the older One series, and packs a way bigger punch. The camera quality is mind blowing and the new UI and blinkfeed are smooth. The design of the phone is unique and catches attention when I lay it down almost every time. Battery needs a little help, but with as powerful as this phone is I totally expected that. Great work, HTC!

I changed over to this phone from an iPhone and it is everything I hoped I could get from an Android OS. Camera is especially amazing in the quality and versatility it provides.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by mistahsingh This is "the ONE"
This phone is hands down the best phone on the market when taking everything into account. Design-wise, no phone beats it, it is the undisputed winner. Sound-wise, it also takes the crown. The screen is gorgeous, best I've seen, HANDS DOWN. I love sense UI, that is a personal thing, but sense runs very smooth on the device along with all applications, the quad-core shines bright. Battery life is serviceable. It could always be longer, but that's with any phone.
This brings me to the camera. Its brilliant for some shots and the software it comes with. Unfortunately, it isn't the best out there and that is why I couldn't give the camera a perfect score. Is it ONE of the best, yes.
With all things taken into account, this phone is a beast; happy I chose HTC.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by rosen Simply beautiful
The design is the most beautiful I have seen. This and the good specifications were the reason to buy it.
The HTC BlinkFeed is great and offer good daily start with good personal setup options.
The phone perform fast with no delays. I am playing some games with stunning graphics with no problems.
The camera is taking great photos on low light and focus great, but the images are not so detailed as other phones. Also the camera app interface is not to my liking.
Also the phone came with some preinstalled applications(some Asian chat and music services) that can not be removed only disabled.
HTC Car app is great but you can use only HTC Location and Google Maps as navigation option and I can not set the navigation option I like.
The battery life is ok, but not great and I would prefer bigger battery even if the phone was thicker.
The sound and mic is absolutely great when listening a music and when making calls on speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by sp1322 Excellent, highly recommended
Design - Absolutely stunning! Really great looking device!
Camera - The camera has great performance in low-light conditions (much brighter and much less grainy than other cameras). On daylight has average performance.
BlinkFeed - Really nice feature, I find it quite useful, but some people would rather have the option to remove it or have more customization options.

Rated 3 out of 5 Excellent design and good features
Hardware is good. Screen is excellent. Camera is good in low-light but produces grainy images. Ultrapixel??? just stop fooling us. Larger pixels will just produce grainy photos. Processor speed above average.
It's slim, sleek and looks great.
This phone competes well with Samsung Galaxy S4. I would prefer the One against the S4.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HSmith7166 Best smartphone user experience
The HTC One is no doubt a hot device
It does everything you'd expect plus a little you wouldn't
Starting off on the outside, the HTC One has a top notch design; it's gorgeous, durable, and feels incredibly substantial in the hand... I find myself holding it for the sake of holding it
I do use a case almost all the time but only because I know I'd rather be safe than sorry, and there have been a few times so far where the case has likely saved the phone from scratches, dents and maybe even a crack
The hardware looks great, but the button layout and design could still use a bit of work, I found the lock/unlock button especially to be a bit annoyingly flat and though surprisingly responsive, is one of the phone's cons
People have actually had to ask me, "how do I turn it on?" ... A lot
It's still usable and the fact that it's also the IR port justifies the placement (most prefer a side location on such a tall phone)
The home and back keys were changed from previous HTC devices, I understand that HTC wanted to do something different but I have to admit that the old setup was actually less confusing and easier to use. The new multitasking UI is better though I wish there was a clear all apps at once option on there like there is in the notifications area
The size of the phone is great, after a few days I became perfectly adjusted to the size and it's a great transition device from a smaller size compared to other high end devices with slightly larger displays and bodies
Speaking of displays, the 4.7" 1080p panel on the One is by far the best smartphone display available. Viewing angles are tremendous and color reproduction is second to none. The first reaction people say when turning the phone on (after locating the button to do so) is that the picture is incredibly clear.
I find the 4.7" size an excellent combination of roomy but manageable (I have medium sized hands)
Sense 5 is an awesome take on an old idea; make everything look great but function well
The interface is clean, modern, flattened and toned down, everything has a subtle texture and the color scheme is very sophisticated.
Many elements of sense are still present and some are revamped (lock screen and blinkfeed)
The only complaint i have is that some areas are not fully covered, for example, long pressing on a photo/video/zoe/album... will bring up a menu that looks like stock android, not sense, this occurs in a few other areas too and makes the experience a little less seamless that I'd like
Blinkfeed is a really awesome idea, I've been waiting for something like this to come along and for a first generation, it's been implemented quite well. There's plenty of well known sources and I love being able to configure calendar, twitter and facebook feeds into it, though I'm still hoping for instagram and youtube to get in on it
The camera on the HTC One is certainly a very important feature, it brings a new idea behind pixels and considering HTC has very little camera technology in it's history (compared to Nokia and Samsung for example who also manufacture fully fledged point and shoot and DSLR cameras) HTC has created a very capable sensor
The pictures always come out looking very sharp (especially on the display) with accurate colors and lighting
I appreciate HTC doing what it does best, finding new roads, and going against the norm to bring 'ultrapixels' to the HTC One, they make a huge difference and I can only see this new take on smartphone cameras being improved in the future
Megapixels aren't everything and 4.3 is enough to get along but 6-8 would be a bit more flexible
Battery life has been a downfall for HTC lately, they seems to put in a battery that's just good enough to use but definitely one of, if the not phone's biggest con. The HTC One is an improvement over late HTC Phones (OneX...) in that the battery does last all day easily though there are a few too many times where the batter drains super fast
Everything on the HTC One is efficient and battery conscious... except youtube and HD games, both of which are incredible battery hogs.
I wouldn't worry too much, even with a few hours of youtube and gaming at the end of a 16 hour day, there's usually at least 15 left. With my relatively heavy usage the HTC One passes the battery test, but not by much
Power saver mode is incredibly useful as it turn off some features very quickly that you may not care about (auto brightness, data when screen is off for an extended period of time, haptic feedback...) I usually keep battery saver mode on constantly since I can configure just the features I want to have off, it doesn't get in the way and is handy to have
Sense TV was surprisingly useful, it was quite easy to set up but unfortunately, I had a hard time with the cable portion as my channels seemed to be on different networks than the phone thought. Remote control setup was very easy and I was fascinated that it could learn from your regular remote by sensing it's signals and replicating them! Sense TV is great for it's first appearance on the market though it needs quite a bit of work to make the experience seamless and globally functional
There's quite a lot of camera/photo software going on that you may not notice at first,
HTC is really pushing their zoe feature (I won't bother to explain it here). I love that they are so effortless to capture and you don't have to think about it until later on when you have time to go back and do some editing
One of my favorite shooting modes is slow motion video, though it reduces the quality quite a bit (768x432) it still captures video at around 120 fps so you can get 30fps video at 1/4 speed. And edit videos to play back at a variable speed (start off 1x then have a section of 1/2 or 1.4 speed and back to 1x again) it's a very easy process and I love having fun with it!
Almost all the awesome editing features the HTC One can do it 'after the fact' you just go out, capture a whole bunch of media and later on, as you have the time, you can go back and play around to get what you want, whether it's sequence shots, object removal, face/eye retouching, filters, frames, cropping, flipping, rotating, best shots...
If you want to see some excellent photos taken on the HTC One, I upload content regularly on instagram and twitter @htconeshots
Overall I believe the HTC One provides the best smartphone experience for almost any user, and I would easily recommend it to anyone, anywhere, anytime. You won't be disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5Â by anonymousCoward The best phone HTC has ever made
With this phone HTC has taken care about so many details that even made the iPhone pale. I was upset of previous HTC models and I doubted of buying it. But since the very first time I touch the box all my concerns went away. This is the best phone on the market.

Rated 3 out of 5 Great Hardware Duff Software
Firstly bravo HTC, bravo, the hardware is really very special. Fits nicely in hand and feels great. Screen really is special and sound brilliant.
However software really stinks: Loath the keyboard, and don't get me started on blinkfeed; if I want to look at facebook or the news I'll open those apps. Just too much grumph layered on there, please just give us a base android option that clean like a 'google' phone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by mercator1 Great phone - with a few caveats
Overall, this is a fantastic phone. Just a couple of things that could be improved.
The power/screen activate button is up on the top left corner and requires a second hand, or at least a repositioning of the hand to work it. I ended up installing an app that would wake it up with a shake.
On the flagship phone, why wasn't inductive charging utilized? My old Palm Pre had that 6 years ago. Why offer it on some devices, but not on the top of the line phone. Tired of the wires!
The phone has 32 Gb of storage, so it may not end up being an issue, but the inclusion of an SD slot is such an inexpensive thing to leave off for no good reason.
Pros: Speed, general design, SOUND.
Cons: Placement of power/screen button is bad. No inductive charging. No SD slot.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by jwtrockz1998 HTC One Google Edition
I brought the HTC One and found it was great but only tolerated sense 5 as I'm not a fan of the Apps the the App draw but the camera is really good, but then the Google Edition was announced and I fully converted mine to a Google Edition and I love it, It is a great phone and now I am even running the latest Android version 4.3!!!
Build quality is even better than iPhone 5 but the power button really needs to be moved to the sign or something because I keep dropping my phone when I try to reach the power button haha.
