Rated 5 out of 5Â by Eddd As a previous Iphone5/S4 owner, I love this phone.
As somebody that appreciates design and quality, the HTC ONE has no competitor. I just can't wait for the 4.2.2 update, and then I'll be happy for the remaining two years of my contract.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ivanvu One phone to rule them all!
It’s really hard to describe how I felt when I got this amazing new device in my hands. The best thing is that the feeling is still here after two weeks with the One. An amazing and truly stunning device, both to hold and to look at. You can really feel how much work has gone into the HTC One.
Let’s take a look at the device itself. The face is dominated by a 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD3 display that is simply beautiful. Around the screen there is a thin black bezel that fits nicely into the front face. Directly above and below the screen we have stereo speakers called BoomSound, and the 2.1-megapixel wide-angle front facing camera is located at the top right corner of the device.
The sides of the phone are very smooth and contain the volume rocker on the right side, microUSB port at the bottom right (HDMI, additional cable required), and SIM slot is located on the top left hand side. The top of the device contains the headphone jack and a sleep/wake button that works as an IR blaster for controlling your tv. The buttons and ports don’t stand out and it’s really nice to see this in a phone as it gives like a minimal look. I must say that after switching from the One X to the One, I could not get used to the change in power button location, but after a week that problem is now gone.
The HTC One just looks awesome and even sexy. Aluminium is used for the back plate and around the screen. I personally don’t know if the back of the phone is prone to scratching by keys, coins and other sharp objects, but I have seen a few videos that show that you just need to give it a wipe to clear the back of any superficial scratches.
The phone’s corners are rounded and the back plate curves into the edge, this makes it very easy to hold by providing a good grip in the hand. The front side is also curved to reflect the back side. Curves are very subtle and it does make a difference to the look and feel of the device. It fits perfectly into your hand and those curved edges provide a great grip, and as usual, people with smaller hands can have problems holding it, but that’s a discussion for another day.
You are going to notice how light the device is, at 143 grams it’s real pleasure to hold and enjoy the unibody aluminum chassis. HTC says that it takes around 200 minutes for a CNC machine to carve the One’s frame from a single block of aluminum.
The lack of third soft button is going to bother some people as HTC wanted to simplify how users interact with the device. It will not take you long to adjust to a two button layout, and remember that with some custom ROMs you can use HTC logo at the bottom as a button. Maybe in future updates HTC will provide us with this option too.
Android 4.2.2, with HTC’s Sense 5.0. This Sense version has had a complete overhaul and now it fits perfectly with Android giving you a more Holo like UI.
Sense 5 looks and feels great as the entire interface looks flatter, and the default font is Roboto Condensed that gives us a much cleaner UI. The app launcher has also got some nice new changes with a persistent time and weather widget at the top of the screen, and the default setting is a 3×4 grid of applications. If you want you can adjust this easily. You can sort the order of the apps by name, most recently used or you can just drag them around. Be sure to add them in folders if you like that option because now you can do that too.
The BlinkFeed is one of major changes in Sense, and setting it up is easy. You can select what kind of feed you want or need ( gaming, music, gadgets, smartphones, etc.). Getting a stream from your social networks has never been easier. Featured sources like: Associated Press, MTC, ESPN, CNET, The Verge etc., are also a plus. Everything you select will be displayed on your start screen in a Flipboard style and with a simple pull down, the stream is refreshed.
BlinkFeed is meant to be simple and easy to use, and it is. You can’t add your own custom feed but maybe that will change in the furure. You scroll vertically in order to view more news, and the graphics are rich, so you will enjoy this feature on your screen.
The IR blaster is hidden at the top of the device (power button), and your HTC One will come pre-loaded with a remote control app developed in partnership with Peel. Setup is easy, but there could be problems with some countries not being supported. It’s not meant to replace your remote control but to act more like a substitute, as it provides your TV with a more interactive UI.
You can double tap Home button and you will get multitasking screen for easy app switching, and you will notice that multitasking screen has been redesigned. It’s faster and much more descriptive, thus allowing you to switch between apps much faster than in older Sense versions.
HTC has officially left the megapixel race and entered Ultrapixel age. The One’s camera has a resolution of four ultrapixels. Ultrapixels are essentially bigger pixels that capture more light (300 percent more than conventional pixels, according to HTC), and thus it gets you a better performing camera sensor. HTC’s proprietary ImageChip 2 is integrated and will allow you to have amazing features, while the f2.0 aperture and optical image stabilization are really impressive.
The other biggest camera innovation is Zoe. The third option next to still pictures and videos. Zoe takes a three second video whose frames you can save as still pictures. This will allow you to take, so to speak, ‘living pictures’ and save your favorite moments from them.
Photos look really amazing when you look at them on One’s screen, details are amazing with vivid colors that bring your picture to life. The camera will also do great in low light conditions, and will manage to take great pictures with the smallest amount of light.
The camera software itself is easy to operate, and switching from front and back camera only takes a single swipe. Changing to Zoe is only a single touch away, and tinkering with options is just as easy. In the options you can tinker with the ISO, white balance, timer, scene modes etc., while you also have Instagram like effects at the bottom. There are plenty of options for everyone.
One of the first things I noticed is the shutter speed, which in instantaneous even with HDR. If you are interested in video you should know that the camera can record HDR 1080p video, and HDR audio. There are two mics turned to different ranges (higher and lower) and they will cancel out distortion in your surrounding area.
The gallery app has been revamped to be more usable. It will show daily slideshows that have been automatically cut-together to be more aesthetically pleasing. It also provides a little preview of a folder before you click on it.
This needs to be said as HTC One has the best speakers on a mobile phone, coupled with Beats Audio. The One’s BoomSound speakers managed to pump out crisp and loud audio with amazing bass.
Before I tried BoomSound I was little skeptical about sound on HTC One, but after you hear the first sound come from the speakers you are going to love it. Playing music on it is a must, and my personal favorite is that Beats Audio is activated when you play a video, song or something from YouTube. The One has the best sound on a mobile device you can find, and turning the volume way up will still sound excellent. You can hear how sound is really using two separate channels. If you are thinking about gaming, then you are in for a treat because the speakers are front facing. While playing, they are not covered by your hands and they provide a great gaming experience.
The Snapdragon 600 chipset and 2GB of RAM will be able to handle every task you throw at it. Viewing BlinkFeed, switching to apps and back again is just effortless. If you like benchmarks more then how fluid the UI is, you are in luck because the One is currently at the top of it’s class scoring top results.
In my experience, the phone managed to make it through a full work day (checking email, chat, social networks, phone calls, playing music), and just playing with the phone. After an entire work day, I was left with about 20-30% of battery power. This is much better than with the One X, as it was dead before my work day was over and I had to get out my cable and charge it. This includes using Wi-Fi and 3G connection (sometimes low signal).
The 2300mAh battery works very good at keeping this phone going. The One has a power saving option, and a sleep mode that will turn off your data connection after long periods of inactivity. Battery life is better then most high-end smartphones today, but I personally don’t know how it would perform on LTE as it is known to use much more battery power.
SHOULD YOU BUY THIS PHONE?
Everything I have experienced with this phone points to a big YES. The device is simply one of the most exciting phones on the market today and the hardware is just amazingly complimented by software. At this moment, the HTC One is looking like the best Android phone on the market today. I know that some people are going to say “what about SGS4?, I would say that I love premium feel in my hands that the HTC One has, polished Sense interface and powerful hardware.
HTC One is the best device that HTC has ever made, and it can easily take on any other phone out there. It’s very clear that HTC will have some serious competition, but the One is just what we all need. If you are planing to pick up a new phone in the weeks or months to come then you should definitely consider the HTC One as your future phone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by htcuserh It may be HTC or AT&T, the phone doesn't automatically update time
The HTC one doesn't automatically update the time, or maybe it's AT&T with HTC (while I don't have this problem with AT&T before). So if you rely on the time on your cell phone for meetings or airplanes, be really careful --- it may be ten minutes behind!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Wipeout Brilliant Phone
For anyone thinking of buying this, just get it. Blinkfeed is more useful than its made out to be, all the HTC apps integrate seamlessly with all the information you put on your old android phone through Google and the screen and sound is brilliant. It's also got a much better quality build than other phones to. However, because of this better build quality it makes you not want to put a case on it as you still want to be able to see the aluminium, aside from that, its brilliant.

This is one of the best phones i have ever seen. Love the screen resolution and very high build quality and amazing speakers. Only one major problem is the reception. Drops signal in places my other phones never did. Please get it fixed asap. Because for me this is a deal breaker for me.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Coolknight Scpetical at first but it is fantastic.,
I was hesitating at first to get me a HTC One, because many magazines and online reviews were kind of not happy with the new two button layout and Blinkfeed. I however decided to give it a try and I must say that Sense 5 and Blinkfeed are fantastic. So much easier to navigate this phone. I selected to setup a traditional home screen and use Blinkfeed as what it is, a fantastic News feeder. The Battery is also just so much better than on my previous HTC OneX+, the reception is excellent in GSM, 2.4 and 5Ghz WLAN. The camera is good, what you loose in pixel you gain is low light quality. I can only highly recommend the HTC One, having had the iPhone 4, 4S, various Samsung, Nokia and HTC smart phones over the years, this is by far the best smartphone on the market today. Accept no substitute!

This is 'THE' phone, built with the finest design ever made, coupled with mind blowing specs.
The display is so crisp and vivid due to the fact that this is the phone with the highest pixel density ever.
There is absolutely no lag whatsoever. Its premium look is what was lacking with almost all the manufacturers. HTC has filled that gap with a gorgeous design. Hats off to the HTC team.
I strongly recommend this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Roadzilla Smart phone is an understatement, HTC ONE is a Super Smart phone!
After hanging on to HTC Desire S for almost 2 years, I wanted a switch. I wanted to go for a phone which has more computing power, takes care of my data with enough inbuilt space, never run out of space when installing apps,a better battery with enough juice, and something that could also serve as a business phone and feels good to hold and touch. My search ended with HTC ONE.
I got the cell, the first day itself. I am pretty much impressed with its performance. It would be an understatement to call HTC ONE , a smart phone.Infact it is a SUPER SMART PHONE . Premium build, amazing quad core processor, 2gb ram and 32 GB of memory + not to forget the BIG BATTERY. I am more than happy with buying this phone.
Few things I loved about HTC One -
1. BoomSound.. I could now boasts of the most loudest speakers in Android phones.Amazing clarity and defining BEATS AUDIO enhancement,
2. Camera - Sequence Imaging, Object Removal, Smile shots make sure I am having the best picture everytime Not to forget the live gallery. Loved the ZOE mode. Ultra pixel technology is definitely the most innovative discovery in optical imaging.
3. Blinkfeed - I am a person who is hooked onto information. I have set my favorite pages and I get updated feeds every time, all the time with opening the net.
4. Battery - HTC has gone a long way to improve battery. The One's battery is really impressing.
5. Sense TV - This is probably another HIT feature. I can control my TV with this. I love playing pranks with this innovation.
6. Build Quality - Truly worth Rs42,900 unlike cheap plastics. Premium quality finish.
Overall, HTC One is a true SUPER SMART phone. I am happy that I made a nice choice. The capacitative UI , screen flow is amazing and the experience of playing games is too good. If you are looking for a change now and can afford this, I say blindly buy the HTC ONE. Trust me, you will never regret this decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by far best phone in the market
best phone in the market and here we go why :
- battery of this device is underestimated by far yes its smaller from s4 battery but it last me 50% longer than s4 so size of the battery is not a signal or the juice quality and performance
- amazing sound that let my office mate look and ask when my phone rang ( is your phone connected to external speaker )
- clarity of the beats is one of kind experience
- quality of the phone is just amazing it feels like a phone from a different era when everyone ( except iPhone ) going for cheap plastic cheap look and feel htc choose to go the extra-mile by building such amazing unibody phone
-signal quality and strength is by far the best where on my s4 i used to freakout other as my phone use to be frequently switch off looking for signal
- the screen with true color enough to ay
- camera is good experience just you have to adjust the settings if you leave the settings to auto you will get only ordinary 8mp photo quality but if you know how to setup the camera hola its the best by far
really congratulation HTC for the great product

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JimAKL The phone I wanterd
It cost me greatly and was a bit of a risk, to jump to a formula 1 phone like this (coming from a 3yrs old phone). I can say than in a very short time I easily learn what and where to touch to get my apps and to manage the phone.
I can say its great, best phone I've ever had. No worries about Iphone or Samsung 4, as this one really climbed to the very top. The battery life isn't great 'though, but thats the only only thing I found as a cons.
Note: Be careful with the cases they offer you at the phone stores; the double flip leather imitation is awful, looks cheap and its very uncomfortable to handle. They charge you up to 30$ for that!! Avoid!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by niks1324 Htc ONE!
First I want to start with info, that Htc One is my first android powered phone.
In start I was a little bit scared about htc, because every my previous phone was Nokia with symbian.
I bought it and after 3 months I regret nothing. Aluminium body is superb. 4 Ultrapixel camera is better even than my digital camera. Sense 5 feels very solid and nice. Battery could be a little bit better, but everything else is superb. Performance is outstanding. And I think I will stick with htc phones from now and on.

One of the best ,period!
I would really like HTC to upgrade this very HTC one Aluminium design with Snapdragon 800 ,adreno 330 and a 3500 to 4000 Mah battery with a 64GB micro SD card option.
The interface should be completely customisable as per user needs.
And HTC will win the game over any phone for whole of 2014 :)
Not to mention every award it will receive ;)

I have only had this phone for 8 months or so. I usually have to keep my phone in my pocket at work, pulled it out one day and the screen was cracked after leaning up against a counter. Unbelievable. Before that i had issues with hearing people on the phone when i recieved calls. Lag time with texts is another issue i have had with the phone. People will text me and i get it hours, sometimes days later. I can not wait to do away with this phone.

Having been a long time Apple user, with an iPhone 3gs and iPod touch 4g, I finally got an Android phone. I finally decided on the HTC One over Galaxy S4, and I am really impressed.
Amazing build quality
Blinkfeed is actually pretty useful
Android! (yeah I know but I was using iOS)
Incredibly fast processor
Battery life could be better
heats up when playing games
Even though it has a few issues, the HTC One is an amazing phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DeeW Just shy of a Masterpiece
The HTC One is absolutely beautiful with its sleek uni-body design. The use of aluminum is definitely a plus, giving the phone a high end feel (no need for the plastic here). The display is perfectly crisp and much of the user interface is to be rejoiced. While I give the phone a 5-Star rating it does leave a couple options to be desired. I am coming from the Sensation and I totally and completely miss the ease of calling while in the phone app. This is not a deal breaker, but is some what upsetting as I absolutely miss the feature and don't understand adding steps to what should be basic call features. Also, I want to see my call history in the phone app organized by contact and not calls. It was a simple as scrolling to a recently called contact and touching their info to call them. Again, you have just added to many steps to the most basic use of cellphones, calling people. In short, I love the phone but hate the matched calls and call log setup. There should have been more options to tailor to one's needs and wants. It's definitely to difficult to make calls while driving.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BryanN Everything is gooood
Everything was great after bout a month plus. However, the only bad ting is the Camera at low light problem which have the purple tint for some users. Hope that what the news was saying about the 4.3 upgrade will solve this issue if not it will be quite a disappointment. Another thing is about the aluminium back. Its too beautiful to use any covers on it and hence I use the phone nakedly, nothing on it. However, if you take a closer look at the edges at the back, you will see the aluminium going black for a silver phone. And i believe the black version will go silver. Without dropping, the phone wear and tear is quite fast. Nonetheless, when the outlook of it starts to worsen, i might consider putting on a case for it. Other then that, this phone has been terrific for me.

This is an Excellent phone when it comes to looks and Hardware...I have researched a lot on this phone in the past few days.. There are still areas of improvement for HTC one phone... Especially Wi-fi Direct is not compatible with non HTC phones..second major factor would be battery really drains very fast when you play high graphics game and heats up quiet a bit... The Processor and internal memory is super fast as we can easily play HD movies...

Rated 5 out of 5Â by adazamim HTC One - The Best
HTC One - Launch Event in Cairo, Egypt (March 04, 2013)
My impressions, notes and questions asked and got answerd during the event.
• HTC manufactured a tremendous smartphone! HTC One is beyond my expectations in terms of build quality!
• Not ONLY it's made of a single metal body, It also has a relatively lightweight, a great feel in the hand and a premium look!
• The curved back was awesome! Couldn't believe it till I held it!
• Boom Sound Front Dual Speakers, Beats Audio and the Noise Cancellation intelligent chip are champions! My voice, and other party voice, are really clear in the noisiest environment (Sometimes I have to make a phone call from a factory’s production yard, with all machinery running, and the in-call sound clarity is awesome). Phone calls now are at their best with HTC One.
• The Silver White HTC One is stunningly goodlooking. All of my friends love it.
• Battery life is better than what I had on my previous HTC phones (HTC OneX/X+), for my same moderate usage pattern. I, now, seldom use the external battery bank to charge my HTC One to make it last through the night.
• Cell phone signal, Mobile Data, WiFi and Bluetooth have no problems whatsoever.
• I get a relatively faster GPS lock on my HTC One, compared to my previous HTC phones, which is amazing.
• HTC One has made a great experience! HTC Sense 5 is truly lighter than previous Sense versions, it’s minimal, but very capable. I never experienced any lag, on my HTC One, switching from app to app.
• I love that I can group all the apps in “Folders, right in the “App Trey, I use “Custom mode to sort my apps and move them around the app trey. This is very awesome, as I used to have my most frequently used apps on folders on my main homescreen, now all my folders are one click away, right in the app trey, saving space on my other homescreens.
• When I first bought my HTC One, I tried to explore HTC Blink Feed. It took me absolutely no time to customize what I need to be shown on Blink Feed. I loved it.
• I love that Blink Feed can be set to Automatically Refresh, only on WiFi. If I’m on Mobile Internet, I drag the Blink Feed down to refresh.
• I love the HTC Music Player with rich voice and Beats Audio sound enhancer, on the stereo boom sound front speakers and on the headphones.
• I love that the Music Player can actually pull down the lyrics and album arts and show them on screen.
• ZOE takes a window of 3 seconds shot, when you press the shutter button onscreen! This enables you to do tremendous editing! I love all the editing modes, especially the “Always Smile which enables me to choose the best scene of a group of my friends.
• You can remove unneeded moving objects! ZOE is really smarts enough to determine what objects you may need to take out! Mainly moving! I love this option a lot.
• I love the “Sequence Shot mode, taking a set of photos and then choosing best 5 is brilliant.
• I loved the 30 Seconds Highlights Video which is created automatically and highlights your whole day. I loved the themes I can use to bring the Highlights Video. The HTC Gallery is the best and most live galley.
• HTC Share is very fun, I loved that I can share the whole event with photos, Zoes and highlight video. I can choose what to share. HTC Share creates a full event with Title and Location.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by GuMM You got to own the ONE!!
I wanted this phone as soon as it was announced and it has been few months since I got this baby to my hands. :) . Soon as I held this phone I just fell in love with it, it felt extremely awesome loved its design. Before I powered it up I made sure to admire its design for a while.
Blink Feed - I'm not sure about others, but I really love this feature. Because of this I read more and I'm pretty updated. I use it when I wake up, sometime when I'm totally bored and even before bed.
ZOE - Its pretty cool I like what it does to my gallery, and mostly love the fact that I can capture the moment more and its a pretty nifty feature when you got a crazy bunch of friends.
Boom Sound - I just can say HTC you got the perfect name for this feature.
If I was to speak about its performance I'd say so far the best performance I've ever had from all the phones I've used and tried out, in more detail, its pretty hard to find this phone to lag, the Audio quality is simply amazing. Display I just love looking at it. Love the fact that it shows the true colors of the images which I really prefer in a phone. The camera actually surprised me because it was way better than I expected, I don't use the camera much but I'd say for close up shots its an excellent camera. Battery life of the phone is not best but still I can mange a day with it with all my work. I even liked the fact that I can control my TV with the phone also love the feature that where I can program any remote to the the phone when the manufacture of the TV is not listed.
Finally I got say, I'm extremely impressed the the ONE and I have no regrets purchasing this and I hope HTC keeps doing this more. Hats off to HTC.
