Rated 3 out of 5Â by George21 pretty phone with disappointing features
The phone looks brilliant! The camera quality is so poor, terrible, disappointing, I hope HTC does a recall to fix this. I'm very very disappointed with the phone. It lacks common features like tv out, noise cancelling etc. I'm pretty sure this review won't be displayed but I'm just venting the deep disappointment I feel after wasting my money on this phone. I will definitely recommend this phone to my enemies.

Since buying this phone in Dec. 2012, I have had to replace it twice. This one is a few months old and the wifi keeps going off as soon as I turn it on. It keeps creating folders I cannot access that have my voice mail in them. No voice mail access. The battery life is terrible. I charge two or three times a day lately. When it worked, I loved this phone.

Very good phone. I immediately updated the software.
Camera is good and the filter option is a cool extra. i like the build in slow motion video function and the panorama feature and the fact you can take a picture while you record a video.
It's my first smartphone and I'm very happy about it.
Fast enough, smooth design and overall a good phone.
I'm not so font of the battery. it doesn't live up to my expectations.
But still overall a good phone.

As an established Blackberry user, HTC SV will tick all the boxes and much more, emails on the move, sync contacts, diary entry to your PC without using a cloud based go between like windows 8, share diary entry with Colleagues along with sharing play list from the PC.

I just got this phone at the end of June 2013. I was eyeing for HTC One X but they recommended this phone One SV, and it doesn't disappoint me. This is the brand and phone I'm looking for, sicked and tired of the other brands used by many Filipinos here, they're using same unit, brand. It's very unique with the fact that only few are using this brand here. Many still not realizing how good it is.
Camera is so good, the Audio is awesome, user friendly, however Batt life is not long (due to internet usage), hope it will improve for other products. All in All, Thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by lalwanijayesh Hats off to HTC
I bought this phone during mid-February, so I guess 7 months is a time long enough to give a review covering everything about this phone. Also, let me tell you that I am from India where this phone hasn't been launched and I had to get it imported. Here I go.
Build & Design -
This phone has a pretty sleek design with awesome build quality unlike Samsung phones which are built of cheap plastic. The phone feels perfect in hand as the back's been made a little curvy from sides.
Yes, 5 MP camera is a little low for such a device. But trust me, HTC's 5 MP is better than its 8 MP. We all are aware of the complaints regarding HTC One X's camera, aren't we? So be glad this phone wasn't ruined. In fact, it's camera has awesome quality even when you compare it to high pixel cameras of other brand devices.
I don't know how HTC made a 217 ppi display so sharp!! The phone's display is so sharp and clear; don't get bothered by the numbers. And 4.3 inches display is just perfect, neither big nor small. Perfectly fits in your hand and can be operated by one hand.
You might think that 1 GB Ram might slow down the S4 processor but it doesn't. Frankly you don't need 2 GB Ram. The phone works more than just fine. Has lightening speeds and doesn't even lag (even after updating to Android 4.1.2 and Sense 4+). Even games absorbing huge memory run quite smooth.
I need not to describe the Beats Audio; we all know, it's simply amazing. But that's just when you are on earphones. The speaker volume of the phone is quite disappointing. I really didn't expect HTC to give such low volume in such a great phone. It's the only thing regarding this phone, that one won't like,
The phone comes with Android ICS 4.0.4 and HTC Sense 4.0. Well it is a bit disappointing as other phones in the same range have Android Jelly Bean. However, the phone can be updated to Android JellyBean 4.1.2 and Sense 4+. It will work just like the Box OS, no slowing down. Also, the phone is going to get Android JellyBean 4.2 and Sense 5 update in the near future.
These were some of the main features I wanted to throw light upon. You might know about the rest. The battery life of the phone is pretty good and the 4.1.2 update provides you with a Power Saver option too. HTC Sense needs no desciption, has been outstanding as always.
In conclusion to my review, I would totally recommend HTC One SV. Well HTC has launched many new phones after this which have JellyBean as Box OS and also Sense 5. So buying One SV "RIGHT NOW" will not be good idea. But you can still consider if on a low budget.

My husband gifted this HTC ONE SV one day as a surprize!!! I am hooked on to the phone since day 1. I love the camera quality and look and feel of this cell. It is right in weight and comes with trendy colors. I have chosen Red and it goes well with my personality. The cell UI looks awesome. The memory is just the right amount for me. The cell doesnot lag and it is fast enough. I love HTC ONE SV. And a BIG THUMBS UP for it!!!

With the decent specification and the price HTC One SV is just the right handset if you are looking for something which is light on pocket, got decent specs and looks good.
The cell is very light and the battery performance is good but not great. The colors it is out in - Blue, Red and White.. the Red looks most stunning. The display is bright and rich. The 5MP rear camera captures crisp images.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the product.

HTC ONE SV REVIEW:My HTC experience told by me. I am like many people I love phones but mainly HTC phones. I recently acquired a HTC ONE SV. I personally found the phone to be amazing although a little small. Due to picking photography as one of my subjects in college taking photographs was a main part of my subject, however we weren't allowed to use college cameras out side of college and this is where the stunning two high-res cameras for sharp photos, even in low light came into play as many parts of the school had sunlight blocked due to the school building being in the way. The HTC ONE SV has a one press counties feature that allows the user to just squeeze the button to take hi resolution photos, this was perfect for taking high quality photos of the surrounding scenery up close, another handy feature was the macro mode that allowed me to take stunning photographs of flowers and landmarks. By the third day I had over 100 high quality photographs, naturally my teacher and class mates was astonished when I told them that I have been using a mobile phone to take stunning images that later helped get me a A in art photography. Although it didn’t stop there, I found it simple to view the high quality images on my phone which was fast and easy to navigate The fact that it had dual-core, 1.2GHz processor gave me the speed and choice to keep up with all me demands. However it doesn't stop there thanks to the HTC phone and screen having build in authentic sounds meant not only can you view and play games and watch movies you could listen to your favourite music and hear tunes as every sound is immersive and rich with customized Beats Audi. Music has deeper bass, crisper vocals and detailed high notes and in addition the screen is extremely durable to damage as it is gorilla glass.I personally adored this phone because it is a Android phone so it has features like flash, a removable battery, WI-FI hotspot. In addition to this I felt one of my favourite in build app was the completely free voice navigation Google map. That allowed you to set a destination and would tell you how long it would take you to get from point A to point B as long as you have a internet connection. This app saved the day when me and a couple of friends decided to walk to cinema we were running late so one of my friends suggested a “short-cut which in turn took us to a unknown area which resulted in us being completely lost within 5 minutes, with time ticking away and no one responding to our aid I quickly turned on the app using my location feature to locate where we were then typed in my go to location which was the local cinema within seconds got the quickest route and ETA on how long it would take us to walk to our destination. Thanks to my handy little app in yet again the utterly brilliant HTC ONE SV I was able to save the day and reach the cinema on time. To summarise high quality camera for breath taking moments, great screen and authentic sounds to MAX out entertainment and useful apps to help you out when it comes to tricky situations, Such a great phone a very big well done and thank you to HTC for creating the device.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by KieranSprouse HTC One SV Review
Ok so here is HTC's latest mid-range android device, the One SV. The SV is a mix between the One S and One V. Now, I have never used either of these phones so I haven't a clue what they are like, though I have had the One SV for about a week now so this is my review.
The One SV has a very 'sleek' design, it kinda has a pebble finish and is very curvy (seriously, try and find a sharp edge). Anyway, it is very simple, no silly placements and all very easy to use. The design is good and the phone feels thin and light in the hand, but quite wide also. It is nice to hold.
It feels sturdy and strong and has a removable back cover to change batteries and access the Micro SIM and Micro SD slots.
The One SV does not have a high end display by any means, however, it isn't to shabby. At a screen size of 4.3" it is a good size - big screen but not 'too' big. In my opinion the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3 (after experience) felt a bit odd to hold, the screen was so big it didn't feel natural and me with my smaller hands had to stretch to reach the top corners. However, the One SV has a good sized screen which feels comfortable yet big enough for a phone. Big enough for videos and gaming etc. (And good for smaller handed people!) :D
The screen resolution is very mid-range however, with only a resolution of 480x800 it isn't as 'Crystal Clear' as phones such as the Xperia T which rock a 1280x780 resolution. The pixel density is only 217 Pixels-per inch (PPI) and so isn't great either. But this isn't too much of a problem, it is very clear and quite sharp. Don't be put off by the figures. (Not to say it is as good as higher resolution phones though.)
With a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked to 1.2GHz and with duel core technology, the SV is lightening quick. No lag between menus necessarily, (even less so on custom launchers) and can run the vast majority of Apps and Games you through at it really well. It has 1GB of RAM also which is pretty much a high end standard except the new HTC One and Galaxy S4 which both have 2GB but you really don't need it, this thing is good.
This isn't where this phone shines. Unfortunately, it only has 8GB of internal storage, though saying that it is expandable up to 32GB on a micro SD. However, you cannot install apps on SD anymore and therefore, if you are a big gamer it may be a problem. For the average phone user the storage should be fine, shame it isn't as high as competitors though which have (usually) 16GB.
Not much to say, has a recent version of HTC Sense (I believe 4.04) and comes with android 4.0 (ICS) out the box though is update-able to 4.2 Jellybean. It runs both fast and fine.
'Tis good. It has Wi-Fi and 4G so it is nice to have mega quick internet on a mid range phone....I LIKE!
Web surfing an syncing is all very quick and download times are also decent. It also has Flash player which you don't see on many phones anymore so that was nice of them.
The One SV may only have a 5MP rear facing camera but that camera is good. The F2.0 lens makes snapping very nice indeed. Good saturation and lots of options. It's front camera is a 1.6MP camera and again is very nice especially compared to rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (VGA) or Xperia T (1.3). Both camera record in full 1080p video and have the same awesome features HTC packed in!
The One SV is a good phone. For a mid-range device it has solid hardware and is reliable. It was ultra-quick start up and shutdown times too and is a good all round phone. It has all you expect and more. It packs Google Chrome, Soundhound, TuneIn Radio and 7Digital out the box too which is nice. Not only that it has Beats Audio and a very nice music player too. It also has lots of Google Apps such as Google Music, Videos etc. too.
It comes in White which looks good but is quite a dirt magnet, you may wish to invest in a case. If you are an American consumer on Cricket I believe (off the top of my head, I am English) you can get it in a nice 'firey' red so look out for that,.
Overall it is a good phone and I would really recommend it. It would of been nice to have a slightly better screen and a bit more storage but overall it is worth your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 Good Affordable Smartphone
I have been using this phone for a week now. It's the first HTC I've used and I'll definitely buy nothing but HTC after experiencing this phone. It's really amazing.
+Decently fast 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
+Good web browsing experience
+Loads FB and twitter super fast
+Extremely capable of playing HD/hardcore games, 0% lag
+Very easy and intuitive (especially setting up for the first time)
+Very good personalizing functions
+Gorgeous curvy design
+Smooth matt finish at the back & light weight gives premium feel
+Good sound quality
-Camera isn't very good, picture quality not very clear
-The grille at the front can trap dust
-May not hold up well if dropped as it is made of plastic
-The 8GB internal storage is definitely not enough. External SD card required
Overall, very good phone for those who are looking for budget oriented phones which aren't top of the range. Highly recommend; swear you won't regret it.
