Rated 5 out of 5Â by Yeoh Great phone with perfect size and resolution
Butterfly is my replacement phone from Note-1 for almost 3 weeks now. Despite the screen size is smaller, it still fit to my needs. Perfect screen with superb resolution especially browse internet, it make real different with full HD screen. This is super fast phone and acceptable battery life (min last for 1 day usage). Unfortunately comes with little software bug & missing HSPA+ support with the price I'm paying....

Before u purchase the hp, pls check everything properly. Hardware problems. My hp sent to service center twice already.
I do like the hp but caused too much problems for me. I used to be a fan of htc and highly promote htc to my friends. But not anymore.
Will think twice about htc now and WILL NEVER promote htc to any of my friends again.

"Lead everyone in every way. The new HTC Butterfly is sure to make a lasting impression on the world’s first full HD 1080p, 5-inch screen. Its convenient front and rear cameras allow you to capture every moment in a flash. The front camera also comes with the widest angle f2.0 lens to capture more action. Plus, its driven by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Quad-Core S4 Pro, optimized for the fastest mobile experience."

Design and Functionality
Absolutely beautiful phone. HTC pays attention to the smallest design - the micro-grilles on the sides, metallic-ridged power button and volume rocker along with a rock-solid body and micro-USB cover - too beautiful.
The Fervour Red is too beautiful! Though many say that the phone needs to be constantly wiped, I think the wiping helps me to better appreciate what a true beauty the phone is. Absolutely slim and flat, and a beauty to hold without a cover.
The small LED front blinker isn't invasive at all, compared to phones which blast notifications in your face. The quaint LED blinker on the back is a definite thumbs-up for me. Doesn't mar the back design at all. and yet gives a bright blinker if your phone's face-down.
I love the full-glass feel on the front. Very classy, very quiet. The absence of a physical button is a thumbs-up: no more phone problems due to spoilt home buttons.
The solid block at the top of the phone is a bit invasive on the design for the white version, but on the red one it looks fine. Makes the Butterfly stand out from the flood of ugly plastic blocks on the market these days.
The Corning Gorilla Glass 2 that runs all the way to the sides is a big plus too. Makes me feel like I'm holding a screen that connects me with the world, not a block. The absolute slimness (0.9mm) feels amazing, and the curved back of the phone makes it a beauty to hold in the palm.
The silvery HTC logo embossed on the front and back of the phone is a trademark win for me, and the receiver speaker looks like it's not even there! Just a mere line on the top, and you can barely see the speaker membrane - and yet, it's still loud with call volume at max, when I hold the Butterfly some distance away from me.
Beats Audio HD is strong and full, and the difference in sound quality when compared to my $80 MP3 is vast. Boosts the bass like nobody's business.
Many complain about the 2020mAh Li-Po battery, and they're usually on rubbish grounds. If you game a lot, or watch graphically-heavy videos, of course they'll burn your battery faster. I use this baby with my 3G/Wi-Fi on ALL THE TIME (except when I'm sleeping), with extensive whatsapp/facebook/messaging, as well as taking shots.
Gives me a solid 36 hours, average.
Compared to the NoteII or any other Samsung makes, this gives better battery life. Screen wastes less battery compared to Samsung's AMOLED business, which blares over-saturated colours when the Sense 4 UI uses more mellow/warm tones instead of vivid, striking colours.
It's funny when other companies produce phones with good cameras but bad screens. 8MP is all anyone really needs, and the stunning display gets me and my friends every time. Camera settings are adjustable, and the autofocus is sharp and sweet.
The pre-installed version was a tad slow when it came to response, compared to the iPhone, but after installing the latest updates, the touchscreen response was amazingly fast, with almost no delay. I prefer Sense 4's mellow, warm displays over TouchWiz's over-saturated, eye-jarring UI.
It's too beautiful to be cursed with a phone cover, and yet I really don't want to drop it, though the unibody feels solid enough to take a few hits. The Gorilla Glass is definitely sturdier than the iPhone's glass screen, and I'd definitely be more comfortable with dropping the Butterfly than and iPhone face-flat.
Rarely, when I use my Butterfly in the sun or when I whatsapp/facebook too extensively, the quad-cores heat up and the screen becomes a little screwy with respect to response (e.g. registers 'touches' at other areas of the screen when it's probably due to the heat at the other end). Worth an issue for HTC to address in its new makes.
Beautiful phone, absolutely zero problems so far (other than the screen thing), amazes all my friends with the stunning full-HD screen.
I would love to use the word 'premium', but I think HTC's motto of being 'quietly brilliant' wouldn't even need to advertise the Butterfly as 'premium-feeling'.
All I can say is that it's definitely the classiest in the market so far (Classier than the One, even).

Rated 4 out of 5 There's no need to think twice to buy the HTC Butterfly
Great Phone..Sleek design... Lightweight... Great Performance.. Drawbacks are battery life is still need to be improved & the hassle in opening & closing the lid whenever you want to plug in your charger, etc.. This is my 3rd HTC phone and if you have kids that ALWAYS unintentionally drops your phone on the floor, buy HTC... My kid dropped my old HTC Desire HD hundreds of times and finally the phone was out of service after 3 yrs... I do believed that if it was other than HTC, the phone would definitely cracked for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by azira Definitely the BEST phone I've ever used so far.
I have owned and used a wide variety of phones from various brands and I have to say that choosing the HTC Butterfly did not disappoint me. The design is simply an eye catcher. Considering it's 5", it still feels like a phone, not a tablet. The screen is just so beautiful, rich in colors! Performance is exquisite. Camera (Image and Video) is also great! Battery can last a full active day (6:00am-11:00pm) leaving at least 20%.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Sam66er The HTC One - Sense 5 make no sense
I am the user of HTC Butterfly, The new sense 5 is difficult to use and it cannot occupy the Full HD screen at all, make the icon look small and insignificant.
The design was way too out of HTC original classic look and feel. like a metal candy box. I will rather wait for the New 5 inches smartphone then spend on The One.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NickXC90 Best Phone I've Ever Had
I Love HTC Products. Always have, and expect I always will. I have had many HTC phones, and used many of other brands, Smasungs, LG's, Iphones. This phone is by far better than all of the others.
It is usper fast, construction is beautiful, screen is spectacular, build quality is great. I love picking the phone and and handling it, and It gets even better when I wake it.
My wife recently got the HTC One, upgraded from one x, gotta say, the Butterfly is still better than the One. Slightly bigger (Which I love#, obviously doesn't perform as well in Quadrant etc but that's no biggie, performance on the Butterfly is sublime.
Photos are better than the One as well. I think the only area where the One outguns the Butterfly is the speakers. They are absolute crackers in the One. #For their size and the fact that its a phone) Even the battery time is roughly the same, maybe due to LTE on the One??
Absolutely Love this Phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 It's the GREATEST phone I had!
This babe is so beautiful, and it is the BEST Phone I had over the years! It's thin, and easy to hold, and I don have any problem with the speed and memory anymore.
Sadly, the battery life is short. I need to charge every 3 hours if I turned on my internet and use my phone for net surfing.
And strangely enof, it's consume my data plan so quickly just only whatapp and normal social networks.
However, it's still a great phone!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by jlesther Smooth inside out
This phone is quietly brilliant! Physically sexy because of the uni-body design. its crescent-shaped body makes the phone fit perfectly on the palm of my hand and the tapered sides make the phone feels super thin! The magnificent 5 inch super LCD 3 440ppi Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection makes your pictures and videos look real. Don't forget! you don't have to worry if you spill some water or liquid in front because it has IPX-5 protection which means, it's water resistant! Multitasking and play heavy games with ease because of its quad-core S4 pro, 2Gb of RAM together with Sense, lag becomes a thing of the past! The sound it produce is strong and clear, thanks to Beats Audio technology for making the sound authentic and lively!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by neilrossgoco It's the second best phone I've used!
...the One being the first (I've just tried it for a few days though).
What I really like the most on the Butterfly is the screen. It's so bright and looks really sharp. The colors pop and is just of the right level, not too saturated but not too bland. The screen size is not too small and not too big. I can still handle it with one hand, though I need to stretch my palm at times.
The camera is pretty good too. It's fast and takes decent photos. There's a room for improvement on the dynamic range though. I also liked the wide-angle front facing camera.
Beats Audio makes the speakers really good (the One is miles better though :D).
Battery life is average. It really depends on your usage. I do get about 16 hours of moderate usage (few calls, using apps like Twitter, etc., taking few photos, about half hour of gaming).
PLUS, this phone is also water slash resistant!!! I once brought this into a pool (I did not dip it) but I managed to take photos.
Only thing missing = LTE
Overall, this is a very great phone!
