HTC takes top accolade at T3 magazine’s Gadget Awards 2010

LONDON, UK – October 18, 2010 – HTC Corporation, a global designer of smartphones, has been named Technology Brand of the Year at T3’s prestigious Gadget Awards 2010.

The awards – voted for by more than three quarters of a million readers, in addition to a judging panel including technology experts from Sky News, MSN, The Telegraph, TechRadar and T3 – celebrate the most innovative, functional, visible and stylish gadgets and technology of the past 12 months.

Luke Peters, Editor of T3 magazine said, “HTC winning Technology Brand of the Year wasn’t just because of its solid handset performance in 2010. Its determined yet humble brand personality really impressed me and our readers. These two qualities have allowed HTC to go from unknown zero to mainstream hero in the space of two years. An excellent performance and a worthy winner.”

“We are honored and humbled to be recognized as Technology Brand of the Year by T3, one of the UK’s most popular consumer technology and gadget magazines,” said John Wang, chief marketing officer, HTC Corporation. “This recognition is as much for our loyal customers as it is for HTC. HTC’s innovation and design philosophy is centered on our customers and focused on creating a relevant, personal and unique experience for each of them, this is what Quietly Brilliant is about.”

HTC also won Phone of the Year for the second year running with its flagship Android-based HTC Desire, following on from the success of the HTC Hero in 2009. The judges recognised its clean and functional design, combined with its power and the critically acclaimed HTC Sense experience.
