Is there a setting to auto-switch between GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA on my device? more
This function is built in; the device will automatically switch to the fastest connection that is available without changing any settings.
How do I turn on/off Wi-Fi? more
Access Communications (Settings Tab>Communications).
Tap on Wi-Fi OFF-ON slider to enable/disable the Wi-Fi function.
Your device will then scan for available networks and provide a list to choose from.
Note: To conserve battery power, disable Wi-Fi when not in use.
To enter in the Wi-Fi networks settings manually, Access the Settings Tab >Connections Folder> Wi-Fi>Wireless Networks and input the settings provided by the service provider.
When I try to view web pages while connected to Wi-Fi, I get "Page Cannot be Displayed." What can I do? more
You may need to adjust your Connections settings to use by going to the Settings Tab>All Settings>Connections >Connections>Advanced Tab. Next, tap on Select Networks and then from the "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using" drop down list, select MY ISP.
You may also have to disable the Proxy settings on the device by going to the Programs Tab>All Programs>Disable Proxy.
Note: You will need to re-enable Proxy on your device in order to gain access to AT&T MEdia Net content.
When I try to view web pages using the Wireless Network, I get a blank page. What can I do? more
This is usually seen if the device has been idle for a while and the Wireless Network connection has been lost however, the device isn't aware of the disconnection. To resolve this, end the Data Session by pressing the End Call Button once (this will remove the small 3G icon that is above your signal strength indicating that the connection has been ended) and launch your browser to establish a new connection. If this does not resolve the issue, perform a soft reset (this will prompt the device to attempt to establish a new data session).
Can I tether my device with my PC and use it as a wireless Modem? more
Yes, you can tether your device with your PC and use it as a wireless modem utilizing Internet Sharing (Programs Tab>All Programs> Internet Sharing)
An AT&T Laptop Connect Plan is required for this ability; it you attempt to tether and are not set up for Laptop Connect, you will get an error message that says "The Remote Party has ended the connection". Please contact AT&T for further information and assistance.
