- ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center is not recognizing my device, what should I do? more
- Be sure that you have not connected your device to your PC before you installed ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center. If you did plug in your device before installing, uninstall ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center and start the process over ensuring that you do not plug your device in until after ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center has been installed. Verify that your device is recognized by your PC in the Device Manager; if it is not, resolve that issue first. Unplug your device from the PC for a few seconds and then plug it back in. Perform a Soft reset on the device while it is plugged into the PC. On the device, go to Settings>All Settings>Connections>USB to PC and change the setting. Was this helpful? Yes | No

- Insert the "Getting Started" CD that came with your device into your PC and follow the prompts. Note: The disk will detect what operating system you have and what sync software you have loaded.
