- When I try to download a lot of songs, I always get timed out and the download stops. more
- If you are downloading 50 or more songs to your handheld from your PC, the connection to your handheld may timeout. To bypass this: Select Settings > All Settings> Connections Tab> USB to PC. Check the box for “Enable faster data synchronization.” Select OK. You will want to unclick this box if you are getting corporate email, as it may cause issues with VPNs and servers. Alternately, you also have the option to set your device to "Disk Drive" mode (for faster file transfer) by going to Settings> All Settings> Connections>USB to PC and selecting Disk Drive. Note: The storage card won’t be displayed in the devices File Explorer when connected to a PC in Disk Drive mode. Was this helpful? Yes | No

- Your device can support the following audio formats: *.wma, *.mp3, *midi, *.rmi, *.amr, *.awb, *.m4a. To set an Audio file as your ringtone: ActiveSync: Using ActiveSync, select "Explore". Open the "Windows Mobile-based device" Open the "Windows" Folder. Drag and drop file into the "Windows" folder. To set the file as your tone, go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Select file from drop down. Windows Mobile Device Center: Using WMDC, select "File Management" and "Browse the contents of your device". Open the "Application Data" folder. Locate and open the "Sounds" folder. Drop the file into the "Sounds" folder. To set the file as your tone, go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Select file from drop down. Note: The file will only be available for selection as long as it does not exceed the limit of 600k. From and SD Card: On your device, go to Start>Programs>Tools>File Explorer. Locate the file. Highlight the file and tap Men>Edit>Copy. Navigate to and open the “Application Data” Folder. Open the “Sounds” folder. Tap Menu>Edit>Paste. Your device will only recognize files types that it supports. Below are the supported file types:
Video format supported: WMV, ASF, MP4, AVI, and RM Real Media.
Audio format supported: AMR, AAC, WAV, WMA, MP3
If your device is not recognizing the files, your library may need to be updated. Go to Start>Programs>Windows Media>Menu>Update library. This will start a scan that will look for all audio files on the device and update the library to show all compatible files. Was this helpful? Your device supports .wav files for custom alerts.
To set an Audio file as your Alert:
ActiveSync:
Using ActiveSync, select "Explore".
Open the "Windows Mobile-based device"
Open the "Application Data" Folder.
Drag and drop file into the "Sounds" folder.
To set the file as your tone, go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Select file from drop down.
Windows Mobile Device Center:
Using WMDC, select "File Management" and "Browse the contents of your device".
Open the Application Data Folder.
Locate and open the "Sounds" folder.
Drop the file into the "Sounds" Folder.
To set the file as your tone, go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Select file from drop down.

Locate the file.
