Why does my device freeze and sometimes crash? more

The main reason for a device to slow down and crash is the lack of available memory. To free up memory, shut down applications that you are not actively using by going to Start > More > More > More > Task Manager > Menu > Stop. As memory is made available, the device will return to normal function.

Check the available system resources on the device. Start > More > More > Task Manager > Menu > System Info. For optimal usage have at least 10 MB of free memory for both storage and program memory.

Remove third-party applications. If the issue coincides with the addition of a third-party application, remove the application and try again. If the issue does not recur, do not run the third-party application on the device.

Perform a Soft Reset. Power off then power back on. If the device is frozen or locked up and cannot be powered off, pull the battery and wait 5 seconds then put the battery back and power on.
