- How do I install Microsoft Activesync/Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)? more
- Insert the "Getting Started" Cd that came with your device into your PC and follow the prompts. Note: The disk will detect what operating system you have and what sync software you have loaded. If you already have Activesync/Windows Mobile Device Center installed on your PC, it will not give you an option to install it from the disk until it has been removed from your PC. Was this helpful? Be sure that you have not connected your device to your PC before you installed Activesync/Windows Mobile Device Center. If you did plug in your device before installing, uninstall Activesync/Windows Mobile Device Center and start the process over ensuring that you do not plug your device in until after the application has been installed.
Verify that your device is recognized by your PC in the Device Manager; if it is not, resolve that issue first.
Unplug your device from the PC for a few seconds and then plug it back in.
Perform a Soft reset on the device while it is plugged into the PC.

- Activesync and Windows Mobile Device Center are NOT compatible with the MAC OS. While you are unable to use Microsoft Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center , there are 3rd party software that will allow you to sync with a MAC. Was this helpful? Yes | No

To speed up file transfers, please connect your phone to your computer using a Mirco USB cable. On your phone in the popup menu, select Disk Drive mode for faster file transfer.
In order to change the default option when plugging your phone into the computer, from the Home Screen slide to the Settings tab > Other > USB to PC. From this screen select ActiveSync, Disk Drive, or Internet Sharing. If you wish to see the popup when you plug in your phone place a check next to Ask me first about USB connection type when I connect the device to the PC. Was this helpful? Yes | No
