Flip through your music and play tracks or whole albums, right from the Home screen.
Playing music in portrait view
- On the Home screen, slide to the Music tab.
- Swipe your finger up or down the screen to flip through music albums and tracks stored in your phone and storage card.
- When the music album or track you want to play appears at the center of the screen, tap the Play button to play back the selected music.
Playing music in landscape view
Shift the Music tab to landscape view to quickly browse through your music collection, and play tracks or whole albums. While in landscape view, you can also bring up a list of all tracks inside an album and select the track you want to play.
- While on the Music tab, turn your phone sideways to your left.
- Navigate to the music album or track that you want to play:
- To navigate through music albums and tracks one at a time, slide your finger left or right on the screen.
- To quickly skim through music albums and tracks, flick left or right across the screen.
- 3. When the music album or track displays at the center of the screen, you can:
- Tap the Play button at the bottom right of the screen to start playing the music album or track.
- Tap the Track List button at the bottom left of the screen to bring up a list of all tracks inside the music album. You can scroll through the tracks, and then tap a track to start playing it.
- To return to portrait view, simply turn your phone sideways to your right.

You can use your personal music files to be your ringtone.
- Copy the music files to the /My Documents/My Ringtones folder on the phone.
- Select Start > Settings > Menu > All Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications > Select the Event and Ring Type.
- Select the file you copied over, and then tap Done.

This phone supports using built-in alarm ringtones.
- Tap the time of one of the alarm clocks that are available. (Tap HOME then tap the clock, and at the bottom left of the screen slide to the alarm tab. Here you will see a list of alarms available. The slider at the right will indicate whether the alarm is on or off.)
- On the next screen tap Alarm Sound, then select the Alarm Sound that you wish to use. The sound will play shortly when selected.
- On the Set Alarm screen, you can also set the time and days when to sound the alarm clock.
- You can enter a description and also choose whether you want your phone to vibrate when the alarm goes off.

- From the Home screen slide to the Music tab, then tap Library.
- Tap or slide to the Playlists tab.
- Tap Menu > New, enter a playlist name, and then tap Done.
- On the Playlists screen, tap the playlist you have just created, and then tap Add Songs.
- On the subsequent screen, tap or slide your finger across the tabs to select a category. For instance, to select music tracks from a certain album, tap the Albums tab and then tap the album that you want.
- Select the check boxes of the music tracks that you want to add to your playlist, or tap Menu > Select All to choose all the music tracks.

Your device supports .wav files for custom alerts.
To set an Audio file as your Alert:
Activesync:
Using Activesync, select ""Explore"".
Open the ""Windows Mobile-based device""
Open the ""Application Data"" Folder.
Drag and drop file into the ""Sounds"" folder.
To set the file as your tone, go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Select file from drop down.
Windows Mobile Device Center:
Using WMDC, select ""File Management"" and ""Browse the contents of your device"".
Open the Application Data Folder.
Locate and open the ""Sounds"" folder.
Drop the file into the ""Sounds"" Folder.
To set the file as your tone, go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Select file from drop down.
From an SD Card:
On your device, go to Start>Programs>Tools>File Explorer.
Locate the file.
Highlight the file and tap Men>Edit>Copy.
Navigate to and open the “Application Data” Folder.
Open the “Sounds” folder.
Tap Menu>Edit>Paste.

Your device will only recognize files types that it supports. Below are the supported file types:
Video format supported: WMV, ASF, MP4, AVI, and RM Real Media.
