HTC PURE Phantom SMS Hotfix |

This Hotfix resolves the phantom unread SMS/MMS count on the HTC PURE. more
Before you run the Hotfix installation, make sure you check and do the following first:
- USB sync cable is connected to your device and PC to establish a connection with Activesync/Windows Mobile Device Center. If you don’t have ActiveSync installed on your PC already, the CD found inside your handset box can be used to install the application. If you lost the disk, please go to www.microsoft.com >Downloads & Trials> Windows Mobile Downloads and download the appropriate application (ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center) depending on your PC’s OS. You will also need Outlook or Outlook express installed in order to backup your contacts, calendars, e-mail, tasks etc.
- Ensure that you device has a battery level of at least 50%
- This Hotfix will not survive a Hard/Master Reset so it is recommended that you retain a local copy on your PC for future use.
On Your PC:
- Download the “HTC PURE Phantom SMS Hotfix” file and save it to your PC.
- Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable.
- Once a connection has been established between your PC and your Sync Software:
In ActiveSync (Windows XP or earlier):
- Select Explore.
- Double-click on your device listing.
- Drag and drop the “HTC PURE Phantom SMS Hotfix” file from your PC onto your device.
In Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista/Windows 7):
- Select File Management>Browse the contents of your device.
- Double-click on your device listing.
- Drag and drop the “HTC PURE Phantom SMS Hotfix” file from your PC to your device.
On your device:
- Go to Start>Tools>File Explorer
- Locate the “HTC PURE Phantom SMS Hotfix” file you just copied to your device and tap on it to start the installation process.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
- Once the installation is complete, the device will reboot and be ready for use.

Hotfix: HTC PURE Freezes in SMS application. |

This Hotfix when installed prevents the device from becoming sluggish and/or freezing in the SMS application on the device. This is NOT a ROM update and you will not lose your data. Also, these files will survive a Hard Reset so they need only to be installed once. more
On Your PC:
- Download the “Hotfix: HTC PURE Freezes in SMS application” file and save it to your PC.
- Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable.
- Once a connection has been established between your PC and your Sync Software:
In ActiveSync (Win XP or earlier):
- Select Explore.
- Double-click on your device listing.
- Drag and drop the “Hotfix: HTC PURE Freezes in SMS application” file from your PC onto your device.
In Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista/Windows 7):
- Select File Management>Browse the contents of your device.
- Double-click on your device listing.
- Drag and drop the “Hotfix: HTC PURE Freezes in SMS application” file from your PC to your device.
On your device:
- Go to Start>Settings>Tools>File Explorer.
- Locate the “Hotfix: HTC PURE Freezes in SMS application” file you just copied to your device and tap on it to start the installation process.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
- Once the installation is complete, the device will reboot and be ready for use.

HTC PURE (AT&T) Original Ship ROM |

This software is the actual ROM that the HTC PURE (AT&T) shipped with. more
In the event that the device has a fatal error and cannot be recovered by Soft Resetting or Hard Resetting the device, it may be recovered by reloading the original ROM.
Please note that during this recovery process, the device will be Hard Reset and anything that is NOT part of the Operating System (contacts, calendar, music, etc) will be permanently deleted; always make a point of backing up your devices data on a regular basis!
Instructions:
- Download and save the HTC PURE (AT&T) Original Ship ROM to your PC.
- Power your device off.
- Connect your device to your PC via the data USB cable.
- On the device, press and hold the Volume Down and Power Button until you get the bootloader screen (tri-colored).
- Once it bootloader mode, wait for "serial" which shows at the bottom of the screen to change to "USB".
- Once USB shows on the device, on your PC double click on the HTC PURE (AT&T) Original Ship ROM to launch the RUU Wizard.
- Follow all of the RUU Wizard instructions shown on your PC.
- Once the update is complete, click Finish in the RUU Wizard and the device will reboot.
- Once the device reboots it will run through the Customization Process; this must be allowed to complete.
- Once the Customization process is complete, the device is then ready for use.

Hotfix: Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC PURE. |

This Hotfix when installed prevents inconsistent behavior of the Caller ID function on the device. This is NOT a ROM update and you will not lose your data. Also, these files will survive a Hard Reset so they need only to be installed once. more
On Your PC:
- Download the “Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC PURE” file and save it to your PC.
- Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable.
- Once a connection has been established between your PC and your Sync Software:
In ActiveSync (Windows XP or earlier):
- Select Explore.
- Double-click on your device listing.
- Drag and drop the “Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC PURE” file from your PC onto your device.
In Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista/Windows 7):
