You can connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi, GPRS, Dial-up, or Work connections(such as VPN and proxy connections). If you are encountering problems:
- Open the Comm Manager and make sure Flight Mode (or Airplane Mode) is turned off.
- Make sure the connection method settings are correct before accessing the Internet.
- Make sure the connections have been activated (e.g. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc.).

- Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Comm Manager.
- Tap WLAN (or Wi-Fi) to turn on Wi-Fi.
- After turning on Wi-Fi, the device searches for available wireless networks in your area. Follow screen instructions to proceed.

- Check the Wi-Fi network signal quality. Weak signals may cause unstable network connections. You can increase the signal strength by moving closer to the access point. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength by tapping Start > Settings > Connections > Wireless LAN > Main tab.
- Adjust the Power Save Mode. Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Wireless LAN > Power Mode. Move the Power Save Mode slider towards Best Performance, then try connecting to the wireless network again. Power Save Mode is set to automatic when the slider is in the middle.
- I cannot browse web pages when using a Wi-Fi connection. more

The GPRS/3G settings are preconfigured on your device when you applied for this service with your wireless network provider. If you need to add another GPRS/3G connection:
- Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections.
- Under My ISP, tap Add a new modem connection.
- On the Make New Connection screen, enter a name for the connection, select Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G) on the Select a modem list, then tap Next.
- Enter the Access point name, then tap Next. You may obtain the access point name from your wireless service provider.
- When prompted, enter the user name and password. (Check with your wireless service provider if a user name and password are required to connect.)

- Activate Wi-Fi when you are at your work place.
- Enter your account name and password. (Contact your network administrator to obtain and install the security certificate on your device)

The first time you use your device, the Connection Setup displays a notification message to inform you that it will automatically configure your device's data connections, such as 3G/GPRS/EDGE, WAP, and MMS.
- On the notification message, select Yes.
- If your SIM card supports multiple network operator profiles, the next message displays all network profile choices. Select the profile you want to use, then select OK. The Connection Setup configures your device's data connection settings.
- After the Connection Setup completes configuration, tap Restart. Tip: To choose the network operator manually, select Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connection Setup.
- How much does it cost to download information using GPRS/3G? Is it very expensive? more

- Check that your computer has built-in Bluetooth capabilities. If not, you will need to connect and use a Bluetooth adapter with your computer.
- Open Internet Sharing on your device, then set up a Bluetooth Personal Area Network (PAN) between the computer and your device.
- On your device, turn on Bluetooth and set it to visible mode.
- Initiate a Bluetooth partnership from your device to create a Bluetooth partnership.
- How do wireless service providers calculate the charges for Internet access using GPRS? Is it expensive? more
- You can inquire about Internet access charges from your wireless service provider. Wireless service providers normally charge based on the amount of data transferred. According to your desired amount and required data transfer needs, you may apply for the appropriate data rate plan. Rate charges are based on the amount of data you transferred using GPRS and not on the amount of time used. When transmitting data, you will not be able to receive or make phone calls. Even though Multimedia Messaging (MMS) also uses a GPRS connection, charges for this service differs from Internet access. MMS charges are based on packet and transmission quantity. In rare situations, Internet Explorer may not be able to detect the character encoding method used by a particular web page. This may cause some special characters, such as accented characters, to display incorrectly. To solve this problem, try changing the default character set to Unicode (UTF-8). To view or modify Internet Explorer's default character set:
- Tap Start > Internet Explorer > Menu > Tools > Options.
- Select Unicode (UTF-8) or the appropriate encoding method from the Default character set list, then tap OK.

When you tapped X on the upper right corner of the Internet Explorer screen after you have changed the home page, the program continues to run in the background and has not saved your changes. This is why you continue to see the last viewed page every time you close and launch the Internet Explorer program during that usage instance. To effect the changes you made for the Internet Explorer home page:
- Tap Menu > Home on the Internet Explorer screen.
- Turn off and then turn on your PDA phone.
- Launch Internet Explorer to display your home page.
- Click Start > Settings > System tab > Memory > Running Programs tab.
- Stop Internet Explorer on the Running Programs List, then tap OK.
- Launch Internet Explorer to display your home page.
- The device is having problems connecting via Wi-Fi to an Orange Livebox router. more

- Set up an Exchange Server connection on your PDA phone (first, obtain the settings from your network administrator).
- To use Direct Push, you need to have a GPRS connection on your device and must first perform a full synchronization between your PDA phone and the Exchange Server. Note: The Direct Push feature works for your PDA phone only if your company is using Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) with Exchange ActiveSnyc or an updated version.
