    Device Management
    Power cutoff

Did the device lock up or otherwise not power off normally? Since this device does not have a removable battery, there is an alternate method to simulate the process of pulling the battery to kill power to the device. To do this, press and hold the power key for 10 seconds. The capacitive buttons on the bottom of the screen should begin flashing for 5 seconds before the device will power off completely and then restart.

    Check current data usage

Want to know what has been using the most mobile data? From the Settings menu tap More… > Usage. Set your current billing cycle and then start tracking how much data has been used on the mobile network.

    Tip
: Configure this window to show Wi-Fi data usage by tapping Menu > Show Wi-Fi usage.

    Check battery consumption

Want to know what has been using the most battery? Check which items have been consuming the most battery power by going to All apps > Settings > Power > Usage. Under normal usage, it is expected that the majority of power will be consumed by the Screen, Phone and Android OS. Wireless signals such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can also be a heavy drain if they are left on.

    Note
: This screen will only show which apps have been consuming power since the device was last powered on/rebooted.

    Improve the battery’s performance
To improve your battery performance, make any of the changes listed below that won’t impact the personal experience. The more of these changes that are made, the better performance will come from the battery.
         - When not using the device, press the Power button on the top of the device to turn off the screen.
         - Use the wall power adapter to charge the device whenever possible.
         - Close apps when done using them, especially if they connect to the network or use a lot of memory.
         - Turn off automatic synchronization. (All apps > Settings > Accounts & sync > tap the slider to turn Auto Sync off)
         - Reduce backlight duration. (All apps > Settings > Display, gestures & buttons)
         - Reduce the amount of active or updating widgets you have on your home screen. Widgets with information such as news, weather, social updates etc. all require access to data networks which uses battery power.
         - Lower the screen brightness. (All apps > Settings > Display, gestures & buttons)
         - Turn off Live wallpapers. (All apps > Settings > Personalize > Wallpapers).
         - Turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS when they are not needed.
         - Evaluate and remove third-party apps that drain battery. Apps that use Wi-Fi, GPS, data connections, or continuously run in the background can drain the battery more quickly. It is suggested to read user comments about the app in the Play Store if the app appears to be suspect.
