My device has gotten warm and appears to have stopped charging. What is happening?

When using the device for prolonged periods of time, such as when you're talking on the phone, charging the battery or browsing the web, the device may become warm. In most cases, this condition is normal and therefore should not be interpreted as a problem with the device.

The device has a protection feature that if the device becomes too warm (due to use of GPS or Bluetooth while charging, using the device as a wireless modem, etc.), the auto protection feature will be triggered and the charging process will be stopped. Once the device cools down, it will then begin charging again.

I have factory reset my device, how do I get the applications I had downloaded from Play store back on my device?

I have factory reset my device, how do I get the applications I had downloaded from Play store back on my device?

By default, once you sign in with your Google account and access Play Store (formerly Android Market) for the first time, all of the applications that were previously downloaded and installed using that account will be automatically reloaded on your device. If the applications do not automatically download, you can download them again manually from Play Store:

    1. From the Home screen, tap the All apps button.
    2. Tap Market.
    3. Press the Menu key.
    4. Tap My apps.
    5. Tap the applications you would like to download again and follow the instructions.

If you would like to re-download free apps, search for the app in the Play Store.

Alternatively, go to https://play.google.com/store using a computer and sign in using your Google (Gmail) account. All applications you have ever downloaded are listed, and can be “pushed” to your device (a notification is sent to the device to automatically download the app).

Why does it take so long to charge my device using USB?

The USB cable acts as a trickle charger when plugged into a PC, so it takes longer a wall charger to recharge your device. While the USB will work, it is recommended to use the AC charger, especially if the battery level reaches 10% or below.
