Why can't I synchronize my phone and PC using HTC Sync?
Before syncing for the first time, please ensure that USB Debugging is
turned on in MENU > Settings > Applications > Development >
USB Debugging. If still not able to synchronize please download the
latest driver and HTC Sync software from the Support section at
Your Antivirus or Firewall application must also be set
to allow HTC Sync access.
If previously able to synchronize you can
uninstall any recently installed applications and uninstall and
reinstall HTC Sync.
How can I access the storage card that is in my device to add/remove files from it?
With the Storage card in the device, connect it to your PC using the USB cable.
Once connected, on your device, open the Notifications screen and touch on “Select to change USB connection type”.
Select Disk Drive and touch Done.
Next, on your PC, go to My Computer and you will see a listing for your device which is actually the SD Card.
Open that drive and make the desired changes.
My Battery doesn’t stay charged for very long. What can I do to conserve power?
There are different features such as watching YouTube, listening to music, programs running in the background, using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth®, constantly synchronizing e-mail that can drain the battery quickly.
To improve battery life, refer to the following information:
When your device is not in use, press the Power button to switch off the screen. You can also select a shorter idle time before the phone screen switches off and lower the screen brightness.
To do this from the Home screen, go to Menu>Settings>Display and then change your Brightness and Screen timeout settings.
Use the AC adapter to plug your device into an external power outlet whenever possible.
Turn Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off when you are not using it. To do this from the Home screen, go to Menu >Settings>Wireless & Networks and uncheck Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Turn off your phone connection to GPS satellites when not in use. To do this from the Home screen, go to Menu>Settings>Location then uncheck Use GPS Satelites.
Note: For quicker access to enable/disable Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc, touch and hold on the Home Screen, select Widget and then select Power Control. This will add a Widget to your home screen to enable/disable these settings.
Note: If the device has been updated to Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or higher, you can also access these settings quickly by dragging down the notification bar and selecting the Quick Settings tab.
Finally, make sure to close battery-intensive programs, such as the Camera, when you are done using them.
What Synchronization software supports my device?
HTC Sync is compatible with this device and allows you to sync
Contacts and Calendar Events from Outlook and Outlook Express to your
device via USB.
The USB debugging check box in HOME > MENU >
Settings > Applications > Development needs to be selected for the
phone to be able to synchronize with the PC using HTC Sync.

I can't see pictures stored on my microSD card using Gallery?
To see pictures stored on your microSD card using Gallery: ensure your device is not mounted as a Disk Drive. Open the Notifications Panel (by touching and then dragging the status bar down) on your device, then in the Notifications Panel, touch “Select to change USB Connection Type” and change it to Charge Only.
If your device is not connected to your computer, remove the bottom cover and ensure the memory card is installed properly.
Note: Before removing the memory card, first either power off the device or unmounts the card by going to Menu>Settings>SD & phone storage and selecting Unmount SD card.

How do I copy files, music and video between my phone and PC?
To transfer files from your computer to your phone’s storage card, you
need to set the phone’s storage card as a Disk Drive.
Connect the phone
to the computer using the USB cable, and open the notifications panel.

Why won't my device power on?
Your battery may be drained or is not seated correctly. Remove the
battery and inspect the contacts. Remove any debris/residue found on the

How do I use the Phone's Storage Card as a Disk Drive?

Can I install applications to my microSD card?
Currently programs can only be installed on the device's internal storage however; after the application has been installed you can move it to your storage card.
To do this from the Home screen, go to Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications.
Next just touch the apps you want moved to your storage and the touch Move to SD Card.
Note: This option may not be available for all applications and if you remove your storage card from your device, you will no longer have access to applications that you have moved to it.

HTC Sync is not compatible with Macintosh computers. While you will be
unable to use HTC Sync to synchronize your PIM information, you can
transfer files such as music, movies, photos, etc. to your HTC Device by

How can I disable my SMS/MMS Sent notifications?
