Can my device use an expandable storage card, such as MicroSD?

The HTC EVO 4G LTE has a Micro SD slot that supports up to 32GB of expandable storage.

As an alternate means of expanding the storage capacity, the recommended process is to take advantage of the Dropbox promotion that gives you 25GB free for 2 years with the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Simply sign up or sign into the Dropbox app on your device to start taking advantage of this promotion.

How long should it take to charge my battery?

Your battery can take up to 4 hours to fully charge using the AC charger. It will take much longer using the USB as that is the trickle charge function.

My device is warm and appears to have stopped charging. What is happening?

When using the phone for prolonged periods of time, such as when you're talking on the phone, charging the battery or browsing the web, the phone may become warm. In most cases, this condition is normal and therefore should not be interpreted as a problem with the phone.

The phone has a protection feature that if the phone becomes too warm (due to use of GPS or Bluetooth while charging, using the phone as a wireless modem, etc.), the auto protection feature will be triggered and the charging process will be stopped. Once the phone cools down, it will then begin charging again.

How do I charge the battery?

Tip: If the battery level is below 25%, use the AC adapter instead of a car charger or USB cable.

    1. Connect the small end of the charger cable to the USB port on the side of the phone.
    2. Plug the other end of the charger cable into a wall outlet. If using the USB cable, plug the other end into a USB port on a computer.

Why does it take so long to charge my phone using USB?

The USB cable acts as a trickle charger when plugged into a PC, so it takes longer a wall charger to recharge your phone. While the USB will work, it is recommended to use the AC charger, especially if the battery level reaches 10% or below.
